My notes on ABC notation

I take no credit for this as I've pulled the information together so I can attempt to write/transpose music I want to try playing in game but figured it may be of use to others as well.

Scale shown below - 'c' is middle C

Note lengths can be increased by using multipliers ie A2 A4 A8
or decreased by dividing them ie A/2 A/4

Rests are written as 'z' and have the same duration as the default note length
Rests can be extended or reduced as per note lengths above

Notes can be written as a beam by keeping them together ie cdef

Bar lines can be shown by using '|'

Repeats
Left repeat |:
Right repeat :|
First repeat [1
Second repeat [2

Sharps and flats
Used before a note ^ is sharp _ is flat
ie ^G2 ^A2 ^B2 ^c2| _G2 _A2 _B2 _c2|

Ties and slurs
Notes are tied together with -
ie G2-A2 B2-c2| d2-e2 f2-g2|
or slurred by enclosing in brackets

Triplets are created by using 3 in front of the 3 notes to be played
ie 3GGG 3AAA 3BBB 3ccc|

Using % will cause the rest of the line to be ignored
