Default PC - Demo - Steering - Shoddy - Again

some of you won't know me... but I was a pain in the ass on the Toca Race Driver forums... which I eventually left because I have stopped playing that sad pathetic excuse of a game...

so I thought I would give CMR3 demo a go....

great graphics, lovely sound... wonderful handling, on the keyboard...

but yet again....

again after the continuous bitching and moaning on the TRD forums you would have thought they would have *actually listened* but no...

I am on Win2k, Microsoft Sidewinder and the steering makes the game unplayable... you weave across the road like a drunkard as you try to correct the hoplessly configured steering..

what the hell are you doing Codies... are you out to completely destroy every shred of customer loyalty?

anyway thats my rant...

bye!

I think the steering is excellent. I use logitech formula force wheel and win me. On the UK track in the mud, it does make me kinda swing back and forth. But that is just cuz I'm trying to take it too fast. If I put it in 3rd gear and go easy on the gas, I have no problem.

Now as for the force feedback, I don't know whether it isn't working correctly or it is just crappy, but it definately doesn't feel right. There is no force going around turns but I get a constant vibration as I drive.

Other than that, which I can deal without force feedback, it is a great game that leaves other games in the dust comparing handling of the car.

Try the second demo, its a lot better.

Which brings up the issue of why they couldnt fix the (quote) "sad pathetic excuse of a game" that is trd.

Which makes me annoyed, frankly.

But yeah, try the demo update, I think its a lot better, how it should have been originally, and how TRD still should be and isnt.
