Post World Rally

So, as you guys have heard me say, ive been planning to do a mod for cmr3 when it comes out for PC. And i think i have an idea... When you start a game, you create a profile, then, you select an era. Be it modern, past, very past, somewhat future.

Beware: The following is somewhat a story:
You start out 23 years old, your father, who has died in an tragic rally accident has left you 8000 (or whatever, to be determined) in his will and you decide to take up rallying. You buy a car and for the moment are just a loaner, one man team. Over time, you win enough (or not) to hire teammates and eventually get recognized by a corporation who will sponsor you. Now, they give you a car, but you always, if given the offer, have the chance to leave the company at the end of the contract. There is always the possiblity of crashing and getting hurt, getting fired, and going bankrupt. But if you live long enough, you may be able to live through several of the eras. So, essentially, at the beginning of the game, you have cars in your garage, YOU are the fixer man, and you eventually play Colin McRae Rally 3, but instead of Colin McRae, put your name in there and choose a car company.

Probably most of you are skeptical about if it can be done. But i think it can. I have hardcore programming knowledge and im close to sure i can get the sdk from codies.

O, im hoping to have somekind of mulitplayer attachment, where rallies are played through e-mail. As you start with a company, the multiplayer construct will recieve times from around the world, of people near your skill level and insert their times to the ones you have to beat. But, i could see major problems with that.

Now, what do i call it?
All the good names have been taken.

Tommy

Sounds eerily like TOCA Race Driver in places. Not that that's a bad thing if you don't include TOCA's bad diologue, allow us to play as ourselves and put us through several eras of racing. I'm in favour!
