Default If Codemasters is so good, then...

...then why are Toca and CM3 so pathetic? I got the first of the two on the cheap, its crap.

Then I get CM3 thinking that this is a game with a positive reputation. Well maybe CM2 was great, but I never played it. However, this CM3 is simply aweful.

Neither of these games has any realism in the physics. Like others have said, the cars stear from the centre, rather than where the wheels are.

"Crash behaviour" is unrealistic in both games - where're the sound effects?

Replays are important to me. I like to choose where I see the car from. Other games, like Rally Trophy, let you choose from which angle you see the car (three angles from the car itself, 6-7 others, plus the trackside view).

The lack of options in CM3 really annoys me, and I think that Codemasters have a bloody cheek after taking already enough money for buying their CM3 to ask you to pay for a premium rate phonecall to reveal the "Secrets" - honestly, that's just one too much for me.

The only things i didn't like about the game were almost everything you mentioned.
But about that steering from the center of the car, this is different in CMR4,i've read it,it actually steers with the wheels now.
In the story that i've read it should be noticable especially when taking tight corners and hairpins.
I'm starting to get quite curious about the game,i must say.
I have high expectations actually.

Wow, what an innovation codemasterboys have accomplished . CMR3 is total crap just because it doesn't feel that you are driving a car. You are just sliding from side to side, depending where the corner goes. And you think that CMR3 is great?? This puzzles me because it's not even driving game. It is just a graphical show that could have been made better just by removing the player and making it not-playable demo.

I dont know if the coders of colin2 have been kicked out aften its release, or are the marketing people with big wallets dictated how the game should be. Game is targeted to mass market being senseless, tasteless, nothing new or different just basic arcade gaming with is good looking but feels awfull when playing.

Moaning that you hate a game, just makes you look like an idiot. The demo is freely available for download. Ever heard of try before you buy?

I'll make it simple for you:

1)Download demo
2)Try game
3)Decide whether you like it
4)If you do, buy it
5)If you don't, don't buy it

Here's what you don't do:
1)Buy game
2)Don't like it
3)Buy another game from the same developers
4)Don't like that either
5)Go on to their forum to moan and bellyache, rather than getting on with your life and maybe playing a game that you do like.

I must say, i was dissapointed with CMR3. I bought it because i enjoyed all the other games, but this one just seemed different somehow. Here is my dissapointment list:

The car steering ingame is fine IMO, but the replays look awful.
The cars feel too light
You can only play in the Focus in championship mode
You have to pay extra for the cheats (Got me real angry, but there is a way around it...)

Yet, i still quite like the game. It was dissapointing, but i still got enjoyment out of it. I actually prefer WRC2 Extreme after playing it, as it has more realistic handling and graphics, aswell as the real drivers and all the licensing. Since my CMR3 disc is scratched, i might end up with WRC2.
