Hello,
Just wanted to know if anyone else had gotten EAX4 to work with Windows 98 Second Edition / Millenium Edition and an Audigy 2 or Audigy 2 ZS card. I ask because I have installed the card and software, and yet the EAX4 icon in the sound configuration screen is not enabled. I contacted Codemasters help, but they said EAX4 is available only on Windows 2000 and XP. However, it looks like Creative has drivers for EAX4 on their website for the Audigy 2 ZS card and Windows 98 SE. Further, I seem to recall that disk 1 of CMR4 included the Creative EAX4 drivers for the various operating systems (98SE, ME, 2000, XP) right on the disk. In case you are wondering, I'm trying to stick with 98 SE because I still use a Microsoft Precision Racing Wheel. As you may know, the 98 SE and ME drivers for the wheel allow the brake and throttle controls to be separated, but under 2000 and XP they are combined. So, if you are using Win 98 SE or even ME to run CMR4 and have EAX4 enabled, please let me know. I'd like to know if it's possible for one think and if so, what I might be doing wrong so I can correct the situation. Thanks, jason |
