Problem with Momo Racing Forcefeedback Wheel & Pedals

I've recently bought a Logitech Momo Racing Force Feedback Wheel and Pedal. My problem is that sometime in the game my wheel would shutdown resulting in the final input of the wheel to be locked in that place. I need to reboot my computer so that my wheel will turn itself on.

I don't know if my game is European or US version. I think it's european as the costomer support inside the CD case says UK, FR, DE, IT, ES. I've tried downloading the 1.09 patch but when I installed it, it says I've put in the wrong CD, I then installed a No-CD patch but now I can't play because when it comes to the video where Colin McRae describes what you will tackin inside the rally, The game shutsdown, resulting in me having this dumbfounded look and say "wtf!". I tried starting the game again, but the same thing happens.

My OS is Windows 98. I have an Athlon XP1800+ processor, and my Video card is GeForce4 mx-440. Someone please help me.

PS- How do you guys find out if your game is European or US version anyway? I bought mine in the Asia so I have no idea how I would know. I also would like to know which version (1.00, 1.09 etc.) of which the game is running on too. Thanks.
