New Codemasters Website Coming Soon - Tell Us Your Ideas!

Hi everyone,

We're planning to redesign the Codemasters official website [www.codemasters.com] in early 2007 and as part of the ideas process we thought we'd involve you as you're the most committed Codemasters gamers. You're the people that use the website to get information, assets and more about our games - so what would you like to see on our site?

Are there any annoyances you find with our site's current design that we could fix in the overhaul? Have you seen any cool ideas on other sites that you think would look great on our site? Is there any other more social sites (myspace, flickr, youtube for example) you use that you'd like to see us integrate as part of the redesign? Want your gamertags, Xfire stats or online Hall of Fame stats pulled into the site? Let us know what YOU want!

Post up any and all ideas you've got here; it'll be great to see them and we'll consider all ideas posted.

1)more avatars
2)larger database for stuff like spells,armour..general what the hell does it all mean stuff for noobs like myself

3)quest guides and hints etc....
4)less griefers(the type without humour and an agenda of being nasty and short tempered)
5)a ddo movie/screenie page for all the people that bother to put the time and effort into these cool things(not me,im talentless)
6)pastry section just for me!

but most important of all....

stamp out the bad tempered,humour deficiant nasty bad mannered dogs-pizzles that cause friction in our community..ie: people slagging each other off unfairly for their own gain and ego.
i myself just offer pies and weather,but im not nasty to anyone..if i can ..so should others

Hopefully with the HOF (TRD3, Colin Mcrae) you guys will divide them by Console/System. And get the times from the internet sets, not entering those crazy codes.

Just a small thing I noticed: I wrote a nice thread about being happy that the Codies Homepage didn't try to decide what language I want to view it in based on some strange browser setting. Since then, policy seems to have changed ...

If I open www.codemasters.com, I expect an english page there .... (maybe it's just me though)

Depends...if you're not cookied it'll push you to the relevant language site based on your IP address. If you then click for the map in the top right and pick another territory site it'll remember it next time you visit.

more avatars and sometimes i go to enter a score on the hall of fame and i go and enter my code and i see that the name is not me and a name i never hard of. so i have to log out and log back in to get my name right.

I'd like to see the Hall of Fame expanded. You should be able to click on someone's name and view stats about what they've done on LMA Manager. It would just be good to see how many trophies they've won or how many times they've lost - whatever. Everyone should be able to have their own profile which gets updated every time they submit a score.
