Hi,
Unfortunately you didn't put a lot of info in your thread - besides the problem you're having. But assuming you're running a PC +WXP Home/Pro, +DX 9c, +latest video/audio drivers, you could try to edit the CRM 2005 shortcut and make the 'Target' look something like this: <"C:\Program Files\Codemasters\Colin McRae Rally 2005\CMR5.EXE" novideo> assuming you haven't already tried this one. Regards, GTI |

For me the 'novideo' option (described in the readme file) worked very well also. First I tried to install different codec packs (that worked for me with CMR3) but nothing worked. It's a shame though, that I now have to play the game without videos. I hope this problem and the steering wheel problems will be solved soon in an upcoming patch so that I can play the game the way it was meant to be played.
Codemasters, don't you have a system testing team? It's not the first time that codemaster games only worked normally after a patch or two. Or for example use the players at home to beta test, witch is done with Counterstrike:source. |
