I love CMR1

CMR1 is my favourite game of all time

I really dislike CMR2 due to ''bouncy'' handling,
and the stages being too twisty

CMR3 & 4 are OK, but I really got into CMR1 something addictive,
anyone else out there like me ?

I still have CMR 1 in my collection. It was the first CMR game I bought and I was surprised in this car handling in a time where other racing games did not give any feeling of driving a car. I liked the graphics, especially the ground textures. Unfortunately, CMR 1 does not like to run under Windows XP. Does anyone know why?

There's an unoffical patch which allowed the game to run under Win2K, I expect it'd do the same for WinXP. Use Google and you'll find it!

Do you probably know the name of the patch? This would be make it more easy to find it via google. :)

I just tried cmr 1 in winxp and it worked without a hitch. Did set it to win98 compatibility maybe that did the trick.

I have colin 1 to but i cant play it with my steeringwheel.
It's a Microsoft FF
When i use the steeringwheel the graphics lags terrible.
But it runs great with the keyboard.
Must have some to do with the usb.
A friend of me have an old microsoft FF
that uses the game port.
It works fine.
If there is a way for me to play the game on my comp using the Ms FF please let me know.
