best formation

ok you all say you can't score goals. i go celtic and their real life formation is a 3,5,2 but in the game i found it difficult to score or get by defenders so therefore i changed to a 3,4,3 and i must say i can score goals now. i pass the ball out left to thomo then in too hartson and i square it to larsson then i do a full powered shot into the net

it works mostly all the time and now i aint going too many games without scoring. i do agree with others when they say that playing it more will make you better as i think it does. i like this game but i want fifa 2004 aswell

3-5-2 works for me! Thats what I use in PES! So I tried it in CF and it works here aswell! With myself in Attacking Midfeild!

ye i use the 3,4,3 formation aswell thats the only 1 i can score goals wiv lol its a bit of a hard footie game this lol its better than FIFA by far....

I've got to stick with the 4-4-2

Using this I can pass the ball great and have good cover at the back I can get up and down the wings great and both Strikers score loads

But you all know this as the 4-4-2 is tried and trusted

Most of the time I play a 2-3-2 with all the my players getting sent off

3-5-2 is the best formation by far!

have your 3 defenders then use focus to make your left winger, right winger and central midfielder push up and the other 2 midfielders push down

I play 4-4-2

4 defenders = Normal positions

4 midfielders = edit position so the wingers are as far wide and forward as possible but all 4 midfielders have an arrow pointing forward next to their position on the board!

2 strikers = pushed as far forward and together as possible

I cross it in a lot so i mainly use my Wingers

Was just looking at this, and I've also found that the original post's method of scoring works great. Larsson is my top scorer by twice as many goals as anyone else because of it!

I find that 4-3-1-2 works best for me.I am using Man U and I just trashed Real Madrid 6-0 .Ronaldo and Van Nisterooy are my strike partners and i can say they score goals for fun.

Hahaha, yeah but you have to remember that Real's defence is completely crap, although they are amazing going forward.
