Correct way to use Bard fascinate song ?

Hello,
I've buid a bard and i wanna use all the power that I have to be complete.
I just wanna know what is the better and more strategical way to use fascinate song.
And how is it supposed to influence the monsters around me (how many monsters, only one or a lot of them)
If you could share your experience to a young little bard, it would be great

its a bit of a odd song to tell the truth, and seems totaly hit or miss in its effect. From what I have tryed it needs you to target least one enemy then play song, then start praying, stand on one leg, spin in circle three times (one is too few and 5 is way off) then pray again......

Cast it on 3 kobold prophets in stelthy reposesion and all 3 started to have notes above head and danced in cute little circle around there handbags...


Cast it in group and sod all hapened, I think if your targets killed during song before effect hits then none of rest get effected..

Now i just use Hypnotism instead, and keep my songs for usefull stuff like compitence or corage


Though i hear good things about if you can get group to wait as you invis into big room of kobolds or others then hit fasinate it works a treat, but hehe chance geting group to not just charge off is very few and far between

Best way I found to use fascinate is to have someone else pull the mobs, target one, start to sing...when the mobs are around you (the puller have to stay around you too, that's the hard part sometimes ) your song land and they stare blanky, surrounded by your music.
After that, the group can kill them one at a time (they wake up when they get hit, so, any area damage like burning hands will wake them all up).

Another way as said above is to use invisibility, run in the middle of the mobs (they're funny as they hear you and surround you, but don't hit you) and start singing

As I said in other posts, fascinate is a really powerful song, even though it's not fit for every situation...it depends if you're the healer of your party or not, etc, as you can't heal while singing and it takes some time to land.
During beta with a performing skill of 7 or 8 and 16 in charisma, fascinate failed a few times...
Since release with 16 charisma but 12 or 13 in perform it never failed me...unless the mobs were starting to beat me up while singing and made me fall on the ground

At lvl 4 I use fascinate, sleep, ottos and soundburst for the crowd control...ever seen a dog dance?

I like Fascinate a lot and now with 18 CHA and capped perform (always) at level 4 it works fine if I get the chance to use it which is rarely.

So the standard song is Inspire courage and I have put all enhancements into improving this to the max and its very very impressive.

Well just to say that I've tried it with your advice.
What a fun
I went hided in a group of trolls in the cult of the 6 quest, pselected one and play.
A few time after I saw the nnotes on all the trolls Verry funny
At least until the mage cast fireball on them and then they woke up and start fighting
