Default Horns

OK, I know nothing about them, where to get them, how to use them, who makes them, whether they can be got as quest rewards, what they do (stun?) etc etc etc.

Can anybody enlighten me?

Wood workers can craft them from tier 2 onwards. I've only made the tier 2 and 3 ones mind you but:

Tier 2 - Simple Horn -> Stuns 2 enemies every 15 mins.
Tier 3 - Carved Horn -> Stuns 4 enemies every 15 mins.

Oh, and don't let anyone rip you off for one, you shouldnt be paying more than 30s max for the tier 3 one. They are incredibly easy and cheap to make!

Thanks for the info. Frantically saving for a pony at the moment but after that........

Is it quick slotted or do you equip it instead of your bow or in the musical instrument slot?

Well you need the skill to use champion horns and you can use the horn by right clicking it in your inv or pace it on your hot bar and press the appropiate key.

The horns you buy from a bard makes music
the horns you buy from the champion trainer does not, it stuns.

I do belive he sells the same version as the "lowest" woodworkers can make
Same with runes and jewelers.

Do they actually stun though? I have tried several different crafted horns, and havent noticed them actually bleedin stun a thing once.... hence they are now sat on which ever NPC was closest when I finally had enough of trying to get them to work.

They do stun, but its very briefly indeed, the level 34 skill that costs 5 fervour pips is much more effective (and acctually has a hornblow animation wich is cool)

Aye, thats what I use for stuns usually if I feel the need. Perhaps its time to get another horn and see if I can blow it hard enough

Well, I bought one last night and used in Agamaur when we had a bad pull. It was useful. Possibly not critical, but it all helps.......
