Champion Armour factor

ok guys im just wondering what sorta armourfactor would u expect to see on a 21 champion, as i asked in /ooc and got answer like 600, is this right? if so ive done sumin wrong as mines 377 :P

Don't think 600 is anywhere near possible. You can't even use heavy shields at lvl 21.

Mine was around that much at your level, seems to shoot up very quickly though as you should have bought the heavy armour skill

Does heavy armour really make a difference over medium? Is it good enough to make a champion almost a stand-alone tank?

only difference ive really noticed is repair costs nearly doubling tbh

Cant check since i cant get into game right now, but 600 *might* be possible at lvl 21. At that lvl you can wear heavy steel armour. Now if you happen to have crit versions of that? Your rating would be sick. Once i get in-game i will check the recipes for heavy steel on my metalsmith toon and post what youd have froma full set of non-crit heavy iron so you can get an idea for a base set of AR for lvl 21.

One thing i do know off the top of my head is that my lvl 24 tank has 1000 armour rating. 250ish of that is from the heavy shield mind you, so 700-750 can be got just from heavy armour at that level, no shield included.

My champ is level 26 and has 500:ish armour.
Mixing crafted and looted stuff, not top notch stuff.
I know my shoulders and chest armour is a level or so below what I can wear.
I keep with them because they just look good

Im at lvl27 now and got 590 armor or so. its some nice gear but more is possible. but 600 at 21... for a guardian sure but i dont think a champion can get it even with nice gear for 21.
