Default Who else feels "fine" about their Captain?

So my Captain is 36+ at the moment.. And I'm having fun! Sure, we have power issues, pet can be annoying and even get whole party wiped blah blah yadda yadda et cetera ad nauseam diabolica imperfectus. But still, playing Captain is great fun. I feel that I'm really helping the group with abilities, and have even "turned the tide" couple times in situation that seemed surefire wipe. And I don't really feel underpowered, being able to take 3 even level mobs at the same time with smart play. Then again I also believe that no class should be able to solo elites until they're grey (or green with pot / cooldown usage), so I really don't understand why people whine about that. They're ELITE for ****s sake.

So all the changes to Captain are just going to be "bonus" for me. Hell, I can even live with the Herald Oo

Does anyone else feel that way?

lvl40, I am fine with my captain. I can solo Elite Trolls who are Light Blue to me so our class is hardly underpowered, though more than 1 Elite is tricky (Orange Signatures are not however, we can easily solo them). It just requires a little bit of thought to play our class.

Can take on several mobs of equal level or up to "orange" with clever use of the herald (Herald tank, you off tank .

The herald is a **** and likewise has cost many a death to me and the fellowship, but can't deny that HP and Hope boost is useful and for every "wipe" that may have been the fault of my Herald, I have likely saved a fellowship from a wipe at least once.

Our skills are quite balanced, our options are good, and the wise players out there recognise the inherent usefulness of our skills in a group. Perfectly happy with my Captain....though the Herald *shakes fist*

I like my Captain.

The Herald shares problems with the LM pets (Pathing, aggro magnet, etc.) but is still useful - just needs a bugfix here and there.

I'm pretty happy with my healing, rezzing, buffing and damage output.

Level 41 captain here. I do like the class however I also look forward to some changes being made to it in the near or distant future. The total lack of skills after level 38 being one thing that needs to be changed.

Well speaking from a Monsterplay point of view, we are really weak. Fighting an Orc War-leader id run out of power before i would kill him, due to the fact that they can heal themselves. We have no defense other than a 15min cooldown. If they decide to run we cant do anything to stop them other than use our runbuff. I hope the patch helps our power issue, as its really bad. Level 48 captain and id probably run out of power in a 20 second fight.

Am I the only captain that can't, literally, live without an advanced herald of victory?
Need all the power and regen I can muster
Not that it's enough, but it helps a little bit.

Also level 41 captain and pretty happy so far, but as Halechase said I am too dissappointed that we seem to 'finish' at lvl 38 skills wise.

I cant help but feel at this point in the game that there is so much thats just 'half done'. Fingers crossed for the patch in June tho.

I love the 'concept' of the captain, I love the idea behind him and what he is supposed to be.

But I do not feel fine at all that he lives up to those ideals and it is quite obvious that he is weaker in every way then any other class in the game. I believe some very basic major changes are needed to bring us up to a par with other classes and would want those changes to keep in line with the original character concept.

I love playing the captain. A great assortment of skills, by level 23 i haven't found a single one i wouldn't be using. It's fun to play (more fun than few other classes I've tried, just my personal opinion) and far from being useless. I don't see it as weaker than other classes as well, it's worse in some aspects of playing and stronger in others.

As many pointed out, you can easily fight a group of mobs and win, but i have no trouble winning against elites 3 levels lower than myself (usually a close fight though).

In addition to that, i love playing in fellowships with captain - it's never a minute's rest and combat requires constant attention, but i feel it's very rewarding.
