Burglar vs Captain..

Every time i have sparred with a Captain they have always kicked my ass and i can hardly ever touch them :S

Last spar i had against a Captain she equipped a shield cause she raped me with a 2hand weapon, i did slightly better cause she didn't do as much DPS, but i recall only doing like 3 dmg a hit to her! :O

Anyone got any ideas how to beat them in 1v1 spar?

If you were only doing 3 dmg a hit then I'd consider you looking at the likely cause being either the captain had superior armour or you had a fairly weak weapon. Also what was the level difference or were you equal?

I was 14 and she was 15. My weapons are actually quite good, haven't seen many people who have the same and comparing them to other peoples there usually better.

The one level difference may have had a minor impact, also there could be benefits the captain had from traits or something to consider. From my experience with a captain I know that at lvl 15 they have the same armour class as you and should be dealing almost equal damage to you (if I'm right you should be dealing slightly more actually). It can't be the captain's healing abilities since they can't be used on themself or in combat, were they using their herald?

I have no idea if they were using one cause i don't know how they work but she did have one following her around.

A massive problem was the fact she like 800 morale i think, so taking her morale down was hard, specially with little hits i were doing :S

Yeah, all i can think of is that she had a high armour level to be able to reduce your damage to just 3 on every attack... if the herald was only following her then it sounds like she didn't even use it on you meaning she wasn't dealing her maximum damage anyway...

What I would recommend is using riddle on the captain and then taking out the herald immediately before focussing on your real opponent.

I was considering do that but i didn't know the extent on how much it would affect her if i took the herald down due to not knowing what they do and such..

The herald (at level 15) would be giving her a buff to her might and agility stats. On top of that it can heal the captain so yeah you might make things a lot easier of yourself getting rid of that. The captain also has an attack that increases their armour level which might have been part of the reason for why you were doing so little damage. Without seeing your opponenent I couldn't really say how to defeat her since I don't know why exactly she had such an advantage over you.
