Default BLIC 2007 Suggestions thread!

I've had enough!!! Ricco M has shaken me out of my funk and frustration. The reason why i was so dissapointed by blc 2005 was the fact that i was so excited about it (having played the excellent 99 version made by the excellent developers) but found it too dissapointing and a complete let down.

Anyway might as well give codemasters some positive improvement advice and NO we are not givin Rubber G any advice, he doesnt make the actual game so Rubber G throw this thread in the developers face as we want blc 2006 to be what blc 2005 should have been, this time NO HYPE and no B.S promises ok?

ok ill give a few suggestions:

1.Front foot back foot must be implemented
2.A Sweep Shot must be there (if you guys dont know what a sweep shot is then there really is no hope)

3.Special ball yorkers musn't be crappy 50 mph jobs.

4.Slow the all round speed a noch.

5.Improve the AI so that the batsman shows some intent to actually go for a run.

6. Dont cut scenes once a shot has been played. We want to admire our shots.

7.For Gods sake dont keep on calling for the 3rd umpire even if the guy is way in. This kills off all the momentum of the game.

8.Need a proper "playing off the legs" shot.

9.Proper hook and cut shots needed.

10.EA 2005 also has a reverse sweep(if u dont even know what a sweep shot is please find out what a reverse sweep is) try adding that too.

Many more suggestions ill give in due time.

So guys use this threads for improvement suggestions only and then Rubber G will kindly give it to codies.

Only post ur suggestions for BLC 2006 in here.

Two more points to improve the game that haven't been mentioned on this thread yet

1) An option for batsmen to advance down the track and meet the pitch of the ball. This will bring stumpings into play and adds a new dimension for batsmen to attack with

2) Fielder's throw to both ends not just to the wicketkeeper's end. They should throw to th most dangerous end. Maybe also an oppurtunity for fielders to go for a direct hit at the stumps. This will bring realistic overthrows into the game and also mean that run-outs are more realistic.

Thankyou for listening

-I would like to see a health meter. I think for bowlers. Bowling 14 overs is doable but a bit unrealistic.

-Id like to see the county sides. Even if they were unlicenced. Would add an extra edge to the game.

-Bigger squads. If they didnt have county sides then perhaps have 20/22 man squads for each sides. This would allow for some of the minnow players who would go on to play for that nation in the future.

-More realistic bowling speeds.

-Real Faces (If possible)

- Geraint Jones to shout "Bowling GILO" when Ashley Giles bowls.

Ah! Peace finally!

There should be 5 difficulty levels ranging from the most easiest to the most unplayable, so that no one complains on game being "far too easy".

One other suggestion to codies is that sixes are not so easy to hit especially in early innings of test matches. Another point on sixes is that not every six can possibly be hit as far as most of the sixes are, You may get the odd one in real life from peiterson or flintoff but not from ashley giles.

Great bowlers on hardest difficulty level, should bowl constant line and length I.e. Glen McGrath, should be nigh unplayable on seaming wicket. But instead the only difficulties in the game whilst batting is facing 106 mph delivers from Shoaib Akhtar. But for every 106 mph deliver there is the 45 mph follow up.

Constant speed and accurate speeds for bowlers, don’t care what you say but Jacob Oram fastest deliver is not 65 mph, I’ve seen him bowl in the high 80s in real life but in BLC 2005 his constant pace is up in the mid 50s, what a load of *******s.

Sort out no balls pace, if Brett Lee oversteps chances are his ball is going to be quicker than 55 mph, striving for pace and all.

Stats and load of them which constantly change whilst playing. I.e. if Ian Bell at the start of the game averages something like 70 in test cricket but then makes two low totals, his average would there for drop. So as you progress through the game all the players average’s decrease or increase, including the opposition.

More stadiums that actual look like there real life counterparts.

AI spinning bowling improvement, Shane Warne should not go 18 an over on test match level, whatever the pitch is offering.

County and State teams from South Africa, Australia and England. Doesn’t have to be fully licensed just the basic outline and competitions from each nations domestic game.

Computer runs singles.

More animations for the Batsman whilst batting and more shot selection, front foot and back foot. Sweep shot, reverse and traditional. Batsman weakness and strengths I.e. Ricky Ponting is always a candidate when he comes to the crease to the LBW but loves anything into his pads. Robert Key always seems to get bowled top of off stump. Western Australia batsman or people who grew up in Perth love the cut and hook, Simon Katich, Murray Goodwin etc. Demon fielders like Ponting, you just want run to and the less able fieldsman like Graham Thorpe who you could target, fine catcher but very slow across the outfield and weak arm. Players like Michael Hussey should be lighting quick between the wickets, whilst the Pakistan captain, should be slow as **** and a candidate for a run out.

Player editor, change everything from average, age, hairstyle to weight.

Able to chuck the ball at both ends, whilst having the ability to chuck the ball at the stumps from weather you are, fine leg doesn't matter but the marginal for error whilst throwing at the stumps should be harder then just tossing it to the wicket keeper or bowler.

Plenty more but that will do for now.
