Default Want Do You Want The Game To Have?

Not having a PS2 or a PC that could play cricket 2002/2004 means that im still playing BLC 99.Some major problems with the game:

-Cant maunally field set
-LBW's are very dodgy
-Poor Graphics
-Poor Wheather
-Very repetetive

The list could go on but i dont want to drag BLC 99 into the floor as i think it is a very good game.

Some features i think BLIC should have:

-Better Shot selection i.e. ( Being able to use the anologue stick to play shots wherever you want)
- Manual field settings , i think a must
- Hawkeye
-Bowlers tiring
-Visible Effects of the new and old ball.
-Batsmen confidence meter.
-Injuries
-Create A Player
-Create A Team
-Classic Matches
- World Side (Current) vs World Side (From The Past)
-Real Bats
-12th man
- Real Umpires
-Commentators (Geoffrey Boycott ,Ian Bishop , Nasser Hussain , Richie Beneut ect..)
-Realistic Whether conditions
-20Twenty cup
- C&G Trophey
-England and Aussie county sides.
-Not actual swing bowlers . Just pace men who can bowl swing e.g.Matthew Hoggard.
-Man Of The Match
-A More realistic 3rd Umpire
-Ability to move up the crease when a slow ball is bowled.
-Xbox Live
-Real Sponsers
-All Major countries
-ICC champions trophey (Or Something that resemles it)
-Career Mode
-Manual Wicket keeping

Alot of what i have written is superficial . But 50% of what people want you got a hit. All of it, YOU WILL HAVE THE BSET GAME EVER!

I think you need to have many different bowling actions, for eg. murali has his weird action, which isnt a throw by the way. Also I think for create a player mode you should be able to choose a bowling action from different categories, so if you wanted a legie you go on to legspin and then you get to tweak his legspin action until it looks like you want it to look like. Also I hope they really have spent time modelling the players faces so they look like they should. The renders look great so hopefully when the game is released you will be able to reconise players easily. Oh yeah and another thing. The script for the commentators should be interesting and relavent to wots goin on out there and if a batsman gets a 50 or a 100 the commentators should say how well he's played and the areas he scored in. Lastly if a player gets a hundred, you should have the chance to take a look at all the good shots you have played and save them if you wanted.

One more Idea that I think future cricket games should include. I think that you should have a story mode where you play as a small cricket club playing at junior level. You improve skills by practice and match expirience and progress up the ranks of cricket, getting into your county side then regional side and then international if you are good enough. You create yourself or anyone you want at the start of the game and progress with them. I no you may find this a bit confusing as to how you play matches with just one player. But your team mates play also and you are in the action down there, Batting, bowling, keeping or fielding. I no this idea could be improved vastly but as a sudden thought I think a game like this could be really fun.

Default Number of overs

One thing I want are more match length options. I understand that a lot of you guys play 50 over games, but my friends and I like to have several games in a day and find 10 to 20 over games more to our liking. Sometimes though a 20 over match is too long and a 10 over games is too short.
I know because of the number of bowler overs its hard to make any other options work, but why couldn't a fifteen over match where five bowlers could bowl three each be put in?

I like it, maybe if you choose what you wanna be at the start (batter, bowler or allrounder). and say every level you go up you must have get your average over a certain amount after a certain amount of games. same as bowling. and all rounders the averages wouldnt have to be as good cos ur doing both.

What do I want?

Great gameplay.
Use of anologue sticks for batting and bowling. Cricket is not a digital game and you pressing buttons to play shots is just silly.

I completely agree with the anologue stick thing after reareading your idea on the other post. Left stick for Movement and shuffles (lara esc) and the right stick for playing the shot. And an idea for playing backfoot shots.Left stick back to stay back in your crease and the direction again. And i think there should be a defensive button. Where you have to direct the shot. A little realism.
