I dont know if something like this was suggested before, anyway here we go:
I think some of you may have noted that it seems prettyodd that every bard seems to play the lute. Why do a human an elven and a halfling Bard all have to play the same instrument???
I see that it would be hard to let each player choose his own instrument since you d need a additional item slot or something similar then, but why not do it like the dance emotes?? Give every race their own instruments.
My suggestions would be lute for humans, flute(or pan pipes for elves, tamburine for halflings and a drum or horns for dwarves. I cant really think of a warforged instrument atm though. This should of course be accompanied by matching sounds for those instruments.
I know that since this is more of a roleplaying aspect it isnt top priority for most of you but I d be glad to see some diversity in bardic music as the game develops.
