Could you please put dmg and duration numbers in your spell descriptions? As it is right now having to pick a spell when you level (especially as a sorcerer) just plain sucks. You have no way of knowing if you pick a high or a low dmg spell - or if the buff you wanna have lasts 1 minute or 10..

Also - it would be very nice to have a clear indication on scrolls of whether it was a cleric or a wiz/sor scroll.

I belive this has been up multiple times but it must needs be fixed.
Don't bother to refer me to the Players Handbook or the online d20SRD. I think it should be in the game and if it is the same as in the d20SRD its a simple job of copy/paste.

(Though faced with the choice of Devs doing spell descriptions or another dungeon, I'll take the dungeon.)

Mabe you should add a poll where people could tell if (eg that) they agree ;)

Mein Gott!
I agree. :P

This would indeed be very useful. Perhaps even including the effect a metamagic feat would have upon those variables should you have such a feat and if they were used. Maybe a toggle-able tooltip or something?

Aye, we can see dmg on weapons and abilities modifiers fx twilight, then we should also be able to see the dmg on the spells and duration.
Offtopic JesperHagen: is your guild completely danish, is it a skilled guild and do you play on Aureon? :P i prethank you for your answer

Heya Ilmathar: My guild consists of me and 3 RL (2 Danish and 1 Swedish) friends. We play on Lyrandar :) We just meet up and play a few times a week - just like the good old PnP days.

I just can not believe how wizard of the coast if they are allowing to put the D&D logo in this game have not gone completely mad at turbine by not doing what is the main thing about D&D and wizards, write clearly the rules that their game is using, and publishing and errata and more clarifications right away after the realese of the product and the first feedback from the customers.

I'll really will like to see what the people from wizards think about the information and description given for the rules in this game (not only spells, but also feats, skills, enhancement, potions and magic items). It's really the worst I've ever seen in any D&D computer game.

I agree too, playing a (now) level 5 mage, this is one of the things I find really hard.

Also would be great to know the rangeof spells too and whether one or many/AOE targets.

It seems a bit random which ones you need to be close up for and which ones can be cast from far away.

Would love to see more detail for all spells.

Thanks
Sol

There is no question about this!! Absolutely yes. It's annoying as all get out to not have a CLUE about these things when you have to choose a new spell to add.

Totally agree - I want this game to replicate pnp as close as possible - players shouldnt have information available to them that they wouldnt know, but spell descriptions isn't an example of this!

Please. please. please. Lets have detailed tooltips. Its not enough to assume we all want to go put our noses into the rulebooks and even if we do there are many cases where it is obvious that DDO has changed the rules to suit the game.

Let's get a few more votes on here.. Although it seems that there is a pretty clear trend. Could a dev/liason please acknowledge that this request has been brought before Turbine`- or not?

Absolutely YES! spells feats and stuff in general is really poorly descripted... I'm not playing a caster class right now, but I would also love to see on a spell a few other things (as far as I recall not reported yet): Applicable SR (Yes/no), saving throw (will/fortitude/reflexes) and counter magic (i.e. Magic Missile/Shield Charm Person/Dispel Slow/Haste).
