View Full Version : My feature wish-list

First of all, let me state that I love the game. I have not been this happy with playing a computer game (and so addicted this rapidly) since the early days of EQ1 - and that does say a lot. No other game beats the feeling when it comes to those early teenage years, playing PnP RPGs with friends in a dark cellar for hours at end. I love it, simple as that, no matter what bugs and issues there currently are in the game still.

I realize the game is still at an early stage, and that there hasn't been time to do all the nifty little things yet, but here is at least my list of features that I'd like to see implemented, in order of priority:

1) An easy way of seeing the levels of my party members. Either as a column on the 'current party' screen or a simple mouseover tooltip on the party names just stating someone's name, race and class(es) with their respective levels after it. This is a big annoyance for me and I'd rank it as #1 of the things I would want implemented as soon as possible.

2) The ability to be able to equip two weapons from the hotbar. The only reasonable way to do this that I can think of is to simply add an option checkbox to 'allow hotbar equip to secondary hand', however that should be formulated. With that option selected you would equip a weapon to the right hand if your right hand is empty of both hands are full, otherwise you would equip a weapon to the left hand.

3) A notification when trying to talk with a player that is no longer online. This is highly annoying to me, as I can discuss something with someone and their connection drops or they simply log out - and to me it looks like they are just not responding. Many tells can pass until I notice they are actually offline and I have no way of knowing where in the conversation this happened.

4) The possibility to turn off that you un-target a party member if you target him twice. Also the possibility to turn off that you clear your target if you click on an empty space on the screen. I am sure a lot of players like it fine the way it is, but my playing style in combination with this make me lose a lot of mana where I often heal myself (due to an empty target) instead of the intended group member.

5) A togglable notification when friends/guild members log off and on. No need to further explain this.

6) Ability to bind an alias/macro to a button and place it in the hotbar. Self-explanatory, but I think it's crucial especially for rogues to be able to notify your party members of traps and similar in the vincinity as rapidly as possible to make sure they don't run into it. If I use both my hands to move my character about, it takes much more time to change hand positions and type even the simplest alias compared to a single hotbar mouseclick (or keypress like with other hotbar buttons)

7) The ability to post money/items/text to other characters, online as well as offline. Because of a few reasons, the main reason being of course giving items to friends and your own alternate characters, but also to not have to meet up with people wherever they might be. It's just a time consuming process.

8) The ability to exchange money at the bank. Not a high priority but would be nice just to be able to keep track of the cash.
