Did a quick search and got zero results, so...

How about making it possible to purchase;
A Gem bag where collected gems go to by default.
A Scroll case where collected scrolls go to by default.
A Wand case where collected wands go to by default.
A Potion bag where collected potions go to by default.
These would take up one slot inside one of the three bags we have. Each container would have to be able to hold a varying amounts of unstacked items, the gem bag would have the highest carry limited with say 50, the scroll case at about 30, the potion bag with about 20 and the wand case with 10.
So if you were to put in 10 potions of protection from Evil and 10 potions of Cure serious wounds into the potion bag it would be full.
There would be a limit of one of each type of container per character, to avoid people trying to exploit it. These containers would only hold the items types defined by their names to also avoid exploitation.

Another idea along the same lines is a quiver that can hold multiple stacks of arrows or bolts, perhaps equipable in the ammo inventory slot.

I wouldn't be suprised if this has been suggested before, but as i said i did a search before i posted.

I don't know about that. It would be ok I guess, but certainly with much much less slots in every bag/case etc.

I think that inventory could be better with a popping bubble that works like examine every time you click-hover an item and wait for some time to pass.

Clicking and pressing z all the time is bothering.

Sounds like a great idea to me - no way should 20 gems of differing kinds take up the same space as 20 swords (for example).

Add a collectible-bag to that and I am all for it!

A Gem bag where collected gems go to by default.
Sure:

A Scroll case where collected scrolls go to by default.
Sure

A Wand case where collected wands go to by default.
No

A Potion bag where collected potions go to by default.
No

A collectors case
Sure

We also dont want a scabbard were we can put in all our weapons, or a quiver with 15000 arrows in it. Gems could be fun (though not usefull) scrolls is ok cause you can roll most of them up and put them into a container, a wand case is bullox as is the potion bag. The collectors case is only good cause there is way to much of them and are not considered normal gear.

Bullox? Surely you mean... bullock, a male cow yeah?

Shinshi where did 15000 arrows come from? Where did a scabbard that holds all weapons come from? I'm not talking 'bag of holding' type stuff, so i’m putting it down to the language barrier.

Hmm ok, a potion bag or satchel would be easily implemented and described:

"A brown leather satchel with 20 individual padded pockets" and i’m pretty sure a potion bag appeared in BG which was a D&D game so it has been done before.

A wand case would look similar to a quiver, a capped cylinder with padded lining.

You have a choice when you find collectables, do I want to pick this up so I can get a reward? There is no one forcing you to pick it up and get something useful by doing so. If we had a collectables bag we would pick up every single collectable we saw with no penalty to our inventory space.
What i'm suggesting is containers for items that we do need to take when we go on a quest, well apart from the gem bag as no one really needs gems...

So bullock to ewe too :)

You have a point but what's more realistic?

An 1 inch mushroom taking up the same space as a Greatsword? Is that realistic?

No it's not. The inventory has got to be better organised. Collectible/Potion bags are a good idea.
Your inventory is a SACK, a backpack of some kind (even if you can't see it on your character). So, why not be able to buy a smaller sack, to store other things?.
