I would like to look through a record of the monsters I've encountered. Reading is for wizards, but perhaps over time my diary of these beasts might give me insight into their strengths and weaknesses. Certain knowledge is given to few, so it's a good bet I'd not be able to figure the ins and outs of my fell foe with just a single encounter. What say you? Pass me the parchment and I'll scribble the little that I've seen.

I like this idea Ludvig, though its not at the top of my wish list it would still be a nice little feature. I know most D&D players will know the Monster Manual off by heart. But having an in game record of the types, numbers, hit dice and weaknesses of monsters encountered would give players something to read while waiting for a party or resting in a tavern.

What they could have is like in divine destsany. Where the more you kill something the better you know it. So after killing 50 you know how many hit point they have after 50 more you might figure out it's weakest saves. Things like that.

That'd be a good feature, rather than be told such as 'Sharp Weapons for Zombies, Blunt for Skeletons'.
We could learn each creatures weaknesses after encountering them a certain amount of times and using different weapons on them.
