This has probably been done many times before, but I think it would be nice to have a thread where everyone contributed some constructive and realistic suggestions on how to improve DDO. I love this game already but there’s always room for improvement.
Many have been playing the Beta and the launch is just around the corner so soon we all have a decent idea what this game holds for us.
I hope this can be made a sticky (Satine, nudge nudge ;) )
Remember this is only for realistic wishes. I don’t want to see any ‘We want to have dragon mounts’ kinda wishes.
To get things started here’s a few (some of these have been mentioned before):
- Implementation of at least one spell of each elemental type for each spell lvl ( or at the least the lowest lvl’s). right now many of the wizard/sorcerer enhancements are useless.
- I’d like to see the knock spell. (yes I play a wizard)
- A proper walk mode. Right now it’s more like a… canter or something.
- The ability to use an offhand weapon in the quickbar. Maybe it could be fixed by right-clicking on the weapon in the quickbar and a small popup menu appears with the choice of setting the weapon as off hand. Like the kind of menu that appears when you right-click you group members to choose to leave party etc. One way to do it but there’s probably a better way…..
Thank you for keeping this a clean constructive thread.

Familiars, of course what they do is totally up to Turbine, from being trap spotting scouts to a fighting companion, I just want that ice weasel that Minsc promised me...
The offhand weapon, weapon and shield thing is already fixed and ready to be implemented apparently.

A first person viewpoint.
Not becuase I want to play "Dungeon doom" but because it just feels clunky playing in 3rd perspective.

Oh I just thought of another thing. I don't know if its just me who can't find a way to do it but I'd like to be able to rotate the camera so I can see my own character from the front. I wanna see how others see me.

I just want to see lots more content (what's there is great). They have built a world where I can see the potential for plenty of new quest givers and entrances for new quests. I would also like to see some randomness in the dungeons.
I'm sure all of this will come, I just hope it comes regularly enough.
Turbine have built a wonderful basis on whcih to expand.

Yeah, the walk is kinda funny, looks like you've just sh@ yourself or have spent the night biting the pillow.
Once thing I'd like to see is a damage dice along with the hit dice. I can never see the damage numbers clearly.
Oh, and many more emotes for in the pub and a few pub games (playing darts with, er, darts, becomes boring after a while because there's no dartboard and you always hit with 100% accuracy).

Aye Pub and Tavern games where you actually see the 'mini game' your playing would be very cool, the gambling ones that are in game are, to put it bluntly, boring. Where is the fun in talking to an NPC and them just telling you the result? The Dice rolling game in the Phoenix would be the easiest to implement, just show us both dice rolls using the same system as the to hit dice.

Nothing worse than seeing 20 Rangers all called Leeegulaass or similar. Or a tavern filled with 7 wizards all with names starting with "Ganda...."
My wishlist item..... Ban then ALL! :cuss:
All those spelling varients too. Damm :cen: :cen: with a total lack of :cen: imagination.

Well, i want a lot of things!
- A House (with the respective lab) for my wizard / The option to rent a room in a inn
- A Belt for my spell components! (+inventary)
- A Box for scrolls (+inventary)
- The useful spells (in the beta i only see spells for combat!)
- Crafting
- Jobs
- Better chat system!
- NPC's alives for special events (controlled by an GM or something)
- Height and weight for characters!
- More emotes
- Mini-games (competition of beer drinking in tavern for dwarves!)
- PvP not fisically, but can be funny competitions like sports, arenas with non-lethal damage, horse riding... Guild vs Guild, maybe
- Special Guests! Like Solamnian Knights in icewind dale (or maybe baldurs gate?, i dont remember).
- Post Boards in-game.
- Guild Hall
- Prestige Classes (Hum! i want a Ninja!)
- Random dungeons for minor quests.
- Holidays events.
- Social resolutions for some quests. (Who said that ogre cant be convinced to stop eating kids?)
- Day and Night!
- In-game time!
- Outsides!
- Uniques special quests.
- Secrets secrets secrets!
- Fix the character rotation when he is sitting or laying on the floor! (That looks horrible!)
And a lot of much more things.
P.S. Thats for me: -Learn english. lol.

Use of Diplomacy, Bluff and Intimidation skills in conversations with NPCs, be they quest givers or arch-villains. The implementation could be akin to conversations in NWN, for example:
Intimidate: Go away or I'll hurt you!
Diplomacy: Please leave and no one will harm you.
Bluff: I'm REALLY tough. You don't want to get hurt. Please leave.
The skill checks could be shown in the same way the combat rolls are. That would be a nice touch, anyway.
Why shouldn't this be a valid way to end SOME boss encounters? It would certainly be a good way of encouraging players to take a few ranks in one of the three, which is encouraged in PnP as you can't always guarantee that the NPC is going to talk to the Paladin, Bard or Sorcerer in the group.

I'd really like to see group members' names appear in a different colour, mainly to assist in busy taverns. As a leader and creator of groups, more often then a member, this would have assisted me a great deal when assembling our party and with the general icebreaking, banter and preparations before our decent into the unknown......

Here's a few on my part.
- Always being able to use social skills. This means there should always be an option to intimidate, bluff, use diplomacy, and some NPCs liking certain "types" better than others.
- Housing. Somewhere to put all my junk.
- Special inventory space for collectables.
- See where a member of the group exactly is, including instance number if applicable.
- Ignore list with notes.
- Notes on friend list.
- Ability to map many more keys for hotbar slots, think ALT or CTRL + number and any combination with CTRL, ALT and Shift. (most important thing in this list)
- Possibility to call group members directly to a rest shrine. This is for when someone joins a group at a later stage in a quest.
That should do for now, get to work :)

I don't agree with the knock spell what-so-ever. I don't want much really just being able to see my cloak float about and some casual clothing to buy would be nice. Just more asthetic stuff really i guess is what i'm trying to say. Like the height and weight idea nothing better than seeing an obese dwarf :D maybe the ability to change your hair and beard in a npc building would be nice. It's not a permenant characteristic like your facial features or anything. Wouldn't be too hard to implement surely. thanks
oh yeah and someone improve the AI on mobs in close groups of 3+ (especially trolls) when you try to pull with range them they bunch all the time and jitter around. One day i dream of them moving in the same direction.

I would like to see:
Better chat system. Show emotes, tells and regular speak on party text-screen also!
More emotes! And with sounds! c'mon, it's not that hard to add.. Some must ones, I want to see: /charge /whistle /no /doom /stop
Also multiple ways to achieve emotes... I tried thousands ways to lie down, before I understood it was /sleep. These are basic mmo things.. Shouldn't have been so overlooked.

My Wish list comprises the following
1. Bigger item icons, or an option to have a bigger set of icons this little itty bitty things we get at the moment paticularly in higher resolutions to avoid chat window clutter sometimes drives me wild, in some cases the mouse pointer is bigger then the item
2. Lockable windows everytime when I go to trade the trade window is behind the inventory window so you end up spending a few minutes slideing the windows about before you can make the trade, very frustrating in the middle of a battle
3. Add me to the list of first person people, I blame a generation of Lara Croftalot for our experience, just gimme the option
4. Better sneak icons/location half the time cannot be seen maybe take a slice out off Thief as that was done very well indeed, dont be afraid to copy and praise good ideas
5. Rubberband the group especially warriors so they dont venture to far from the group or on their own in much the same way as the life stones when a charachter dies, go to far from the group and you rubberband back again.
6. If someone spots a trap of a door, ping exclaimation marks above everyones heads so that everyone clearly gets the message instead of the rogue (or whoever having to type up 'wait trap, Doh! there goes the warrior, nm!, quick clerics heal him he's going to die... too late')
7. You know I've run out of things to concern myself about, that tells me overall I'm very happy with what I've seen so far.
8. Get to Early Start earlier...
Joking on nbr 5 of course.

wow. for moment I thouhgt you meant it. Phew.
for emotes I'd also like a /stand.
and I totally agree on the sneak icons being misplaced. I mentioned that once in a stress test. You have to look down in order to see how many eyes is on you. but then again in real life you probably wouldn't know if someone could see you, bar you own judgement.

Think the obvious one thats been missed is solo content. Yes I know its D&D, yes I know its an MMORPG but there are times when I just want to be able to take things at my own pace.
There's a lot to be said for being able to play alone 'if you want to'. Now I'm not saying all the time, but the option should be there if you want it.
I've played pretty much all MMORPG's that have been on the market, some good and some bad but the ones I have enjoyed the most are those that give you the choice of what to do and how to do it as opposed to being forced to do everything the same way all the time.
The reason I left WoW was that I was sick to the back teeth of having to group to do anything worthwhile or see any end game content. From what I've seen of D&D so far there is zero solo content after you complete the first couple of 'training' quests.
This makes an interesting read that explains things a bit better.

1. Crafting got to be a big one for me as there are so many posibilites with items in DnD and it makes XP worth somthing more than just to level.
2. Current group window updated to show more than just group member names.
3. re-wrok of enhancements i know a lot of people have had same problem as me that at some leavels there are no enhancements worth getting and especaily for casters should fall in-line with the spells they get (ie energy types)
4. Knock defintly want it althogh will need to be either very point heavey or very expencive compoenents
5. A place to trade, i like the broker system but it really doesn't seam to take off much especaily when it came to jewlery and clothing there was never anything on them to buy and selling was just easyer at a tavern for the sake of having to trape round x merchants to get a bit more cash.
6. some may want to kill me for this but some solo content for a person like me with occasionaly irregular playtime and especaily when i get annoyed with a pickup group i want just a bit of solo content even if it's rusbish loot and next to no xp it would be nice to have somthing.
7. more events or activitys don't get me wrong i love a good quest it's just at the moment thats pritty much all you can do and being able to partisipate in some pub games or some differnt type of quests where it was competition against others would be particulary intresting.

I've never really had any problems finding groups though admittedly some where better than others and often I had to start them. If they choice is gonna be between group and solo content I'll go for group.
on a side note I think that quest xp give on a base of the combined group lvl and not on the base of the highest lvl character. meaning that a group of five lvl 2 characters grouped with a lvl 4 will be just as ponished as a group of 6 lvl 4's which is really not fair as they'd have a harder time doing the quest. and a single lvl 4 character doing a lvl 2 quest will have a hard time compared to 6 lvl 2 character even though he will recieve less xp as it is now.
but not if it was base on group lvl. 4 lvl's against 12 lvl's. this might also help the game scaling the difficulty better to suit the challenged group.

Rest of the suggestions are quality although there has been a bit posted by the devs on housing, crafting ad a few others.
Chat emtoes is a must have - even better would be certain voice emotes for each class and a small selection of voices - imagine your shifty rouge being able to actually shout 'Trap' and the others hearing it - or the Tank calling for Healing or and Assist - it's easy to think of about 5 main emotes for each class that match their uses - would add a lot of submersion to dungeons - and the devs have to accept that although voice control is good not everyone wants or can have it - just a thought :)

On the "Solo" Quests, i see where he's going. i recon if it was changed to work like City of Heros, where the quest is made to suit your individual party, so if 5 lvl 30's go in, it will adjust itself to be slightly over there level. and easyer if say only 2 level 30's go in.
Obviously this would only be implemented for party quests and not for Raids. they should be as hard as can be otherwise there just not worth doing.
Just an idea

Id like to see better AI if thats it, it annoy's me when enemies come from the same area every time you return to a dungeon or repeat a quest. I really like this game and found it hard to pick and did'nt want to be to picky as it's early stages yet and im sure from what ive seen from the team so far that they'll sort most probs out. As for the problem i found, whether they fix it or not il still play tbh i like it to much to let that bother me and as i said i was only pickin it doesnt bother me to much. When im playin anyway im lost in the world of DDO and hardly notice a thing not even the time nevermind little glitches so there's gratz to be awarded to them for that, for making a very griping game indeed.

Err.... great argument as to why solo content would be such a bad thing....
Instead of just shooting the idea down, how about actually stating a reason why you are so set against something... who knows you might even convince me?
I know D&D is a party based game but then at the end of the day this isn't even close to a carbon copy of the PnP game so why not give the players a bit of freedom and let them change their playstyle once in a while?
I'm by no means suggesting a player should be able to solo every quest if he/she so chooses but merely that there should be questlines specifically to do as an individual maybe say when your gaming buddies are not online and you're looking for something to do?
Just because its an MMORPG that does not mean you have to play with other players all the time. Thats just a myth.
Crafting would be a great addition to the game but then crafting would be a 'solo' experience i.e you would be playing 'on your own' so it would probably never make it into the game either :(

Sorry it's a very very very old argument and if you'd read around the boards a bit you;d find it;s be discussed to death and most - not all granted - but most said that this game is not designed for solo content in mind. There are also numerous posts by the devs dismissing tailored solo content atm and a bunch of other stff to. It wouldn't be such a bad thing if you read around a bit before jumping down my throat - it wasn't an attack it was a simple suggestion to talk a bout new ideas rather than age old ones. If you feel that strongly about it - post on one of the many solo content threads and get it back on the front page of the forums.

Some of this has already been mentioned above, but here is my list from a beta post...
Chat and player interaction
1) Click on character name in chat box to send tell > anything to stop me typing names
2) “Tell” option in focus window when character is highlighted > ditto
3) RP tag – of some kind – for role players > Don’t make me zerg-run through this game
4) General chat channel > Helpful for finding guilds, grouping for specific quests
5) Chat macros > Lots of applications from RPing to good team work (“Trap!”, fr’instance)
6) Talk bubbles > It can be optional. Very important outside. Not so much in parties/instances.
7) More animated emotes > Look at the wealth of options in EQ2 and WoW.
8) Player housing and shops > If we are all in one city, let us live in it. Players can buy flat or shop. Shops accessable through one door in each area – pick from list of open shops. Decorating touches could be added as quest rewards or give us another use for our cash.
9) Guild houses > ‘Nuff said
More voice acting and sound
1) All NPC quest givers and characters in instances given voices > I refuse to read in this day and age
2) Environmental voice acting > make Stormreach come alive with NPCs calling you over for quests, barkers calling out for shops or collectors and a little npc to npc chat
3) Better environmental sounds outside dungeons > no seagulls? no crane noises? sure is quiet for a bustling sea-port town
4) More monster noise > Kobolds should shout and bark and gibber in a fight, not silently swing their weapons. Zombies should call for brains. Bring the combat to life!
5) Atmospheric music tweaking > In dungeon there should be combat music(s) different from atmospheric music and it should be TRIGGERED by combat or by being seen by a mob. It confused my rogue that combat music played when the mobs got near to me...but they hadn't seen me and there was no combat.
More animation
1) Improved NPC animation > ATM they all stand still with limited gestures, more could be done. Especially for quest givers and game runners. What is point of gambling games that are completely imaginary? (no spinning wheel, no spinning gesture – it feels surreal).
2) Better monster animation > ‘Nuff said!
More character customisation options
1) Share the facial features > Why can’t an elf have glasses? Why can’t a human have an eyepatch? Why only one type of glasses?
2) Tattoos > ‘Nuff said!
3) Height and build options > No chubby halfings? Barbarian is same size as wizard?
4) More hair, more noses, more features > ‘Nuff said!
5) Barbershop > Let players change hair style, hair colour, features and tattoos as they go
6) Sliders to modify height, weight, facial features > (Complx) Sliders make ur character unique.. I WANNA SEE SLIDERS!
Gameplay and other miscellaneous
1) Keep weapon size scaleable by race > Othewise halflings could take over the world. Especially since they all got so fit recently!
2) Bluff, Negotiate, Intimidate > Using these as main combat control skills forces everyone to care about charisma. I would rather see separate skills linked to key class attributes (DEX for sneak attack, STR for aggro attraction, etc) rather than current attempt to shoehorn existing skills into useful form for game.
3) Multi-class specific enhancements > 1-3 specific enhancements per level based specific for multi-class. There are lots of ways to do this and one for every possible multi-class combination would only require an extra 360 enhancements in total.
4) Make level 1 hitpoint bonus feat scaled to class and con > (Panniker) I think it would feel more real if a fighter could have 30 bonus HP at level one and a sorceror only 15...lots of ways to implement this.
5) Better spot notification!> I would love a DM voice message and text across the screen whenever I spot something (or some kind of clearer message) its all too easy to miss when you are in the midst of something.
6) Successful search notification> Also, a player has to search without having spotted something. Some kind of success notification would be helpful in case the player is situated out of view of what he actually found.
7) Moveable stealth indicator > I often can't see the indicators (especially hiding in a corner) please either make the eyes moveable on screen or viewable in separate UI feature (obviously optional or minimizable).

decrease the carrying capacity in lb's but increase the backpack slots. right now a fighter can carry 5-6 armors and still only be lightly encumbered. make it so you can carry less heavy stuff but many more different things.
either that or make poition bags, scroll cases and collector item pouches.
and maybe the bank should have few more slots too.

I like most of these ideas. A lot of them I could live with out with for now like player housing and crafting. I especially like the idea of having different coloured name tags. In wow you had different colours for almost everything from party members to guild members or was that chat colour. Either or both would be good.
Using a system like in fable where the player would become fatter or thinner depending on what they did would be nice. So the fighters would be big mounds of muscles and the wizards (unless halflings) would be all thin. Also in fable the hair tattoo system was good you found/brought patterns and styles and went to a hair dresser/tattooist and had them done. The tattoos maybe not so important unless you can get them on your face.
I'd like to avoid player run shops since in essence humans are greedy and this would only push the price of things up. I like the pawn shop idea but maybe moving them into the market tent would be a good idea so they are used more. Most of the pawn brokers didn't have anything in, or had 2 items in. If they were all centralized then they would be more chance of people using them and then the system would benefit more people.

if there's ever gonna be crafting in DDO it should be a completely different system than that used in Wow for instance. I can not think of a bmore boring thing than to sit and catch a fish 5000 times just to get better at it and therby being able to catch a bigger fish 5000 times and then repeat. YAWN!! very boring and very unsocial. I don't wanna spend ours doing boring stuff. just to earn a few gold.

Sentient weapons would be a nice touch to the game. I'm not saying make them easy to find, but having the odd high end quest give you a chance of finding such a weapon would truly make my day.
They could have a list of dialogue that would be triggered by events such as a critical hit or a natural 1. When these events occur there would simply be a line of text added to party or general chat. The implementation would be simple but the results would be gratifying.
A polymorph spell, such as baleful polymorph would be welcomed with open arms.
http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/balefulPolymorph.htm
It could work like a banishment spell or even like a sleep or charm spell.
Banishment meaning that the polymorphed victim couldn’t revert and would be taken out of the fight.
Similar to a charm or sleep spell, being that on damage or after a set time limit they would revert to normal.
Adding the random possibility of things that a target could be changed into would make this memorable, stuff like chickens, toads and newts are the first things that spring to mind.

Well, time to throw in my two cents. Some of these have been stated before, but that just shows how badly we want these features! :D
- Character Creation
Ok, I accept that diversity in terms of appearance is almost a "reward" in itself as the character progresses, but that doesn't excuse the lack of height and build sliders (as a minimum). Sure, WoW got away without them, but the game has RTS origins. Unless there's something in the Eberron setting about extensive use of racial cloning, please consider adding in these basic sliders - I'm sure the player bounding box must be large enough to accommodate some variation. :)
- Combat (or Combat isn't everything. It's the only thing. Except when it's not.)
Finding combat-related uses for the charisma based skills is all well and good, but how about those diplomacy / bluff / intimidate NPC conversation options, and maybe options based on pure charisma (as there isn't a seduction skill). Another thing I'd like to see in combat is the option to "dual wield" when you have no weapon in your off hand, effectively allowing you to make an additional (unarmed) attack with fist or foot. Obviously all the usual penalties for fighting with two weapons would apply.
- Player Housing
There are many ways to implement this - and perhaps the most suitable would be instanced housing linked to certain portals around the city ala Neocron. This should require the least amount of new code and not put too much pressure on the art team. :)
- Tieflings
Yeah I know, I know.
- Levelling Up
This would actually be a departure from D&D, but it seems to me to better suit the DDO's game mechanic - the HP benefits of increasing your CON (when you reach a new bonus) are applied retroactively, so why not do the same with INT and skill points. At the moment, there is little value in trying to increase your INT at later levels unless your class relies heavily on that stat.
- Tieflings
What? Listed this already? My bad ;)

Chat window settings: Font size, transparency, locking, removing input line
Damage numbers above character and target, it is very hard or impossible to see useful information in the combat chat. Naturally would be also nice to configure it a lot i.e. http://www.wowguru.com/gallery/imageview.php?screenshotID=574&typeID=3
UI configurability and usability needs big improvements.

this was mentioned in another post:
the chat system is very clumsy, and its easy to miss text. at one time the party chat went down for me, and I couldnt tell the others in party this since they were all on the party tab and didnt see tells or say.
why not highlight the tab if theres new text there? also have a short flash as new text comes in, its hard to notice when in battle.
good idea.

Perhaps tells should appear as a message across the top of your view - if you miss it at least you can go back and check it

i always only use the tab where i can see all text ...
And just set the output channel to group ;)

Implement slings.
Even though they deal low damage, they do bludgeoning damage, so getting rid of those pesky skeleton archers in hard-to-reach places becomes a possibility.
Also, slings and halflings make a perfect match.

Without any attation of double entries.
Common
- Games for the tarvern, a simple card game like hearts or something like that, besides character specific games for more athmosphere
- If you drink to much, you get drunk, worse sight and maybe a little decrease of the health (wich will slowly regenerate)
- You can marry other people (ok, not really a good one)
- People can get into quest if they have't the right rank/level (as it is at getting into danger zones)
Map
- Display a small almost transparent map on the middle of the screen or somewhere else
- Maybe you must write the map by yourself through visiting areas?
Spells
- It would be fine if you can see how long a spell will last (directly over the icon maybe and indirectly at the descitpion of the spell)
- Spell description shows exaclty what material you need.

- A proper walk mode. Right now it’s more like a… canter or something.
Ha haaaa... it's more like a mince. Not entirely constructive I know, but it bugs me.
I know it's been mentioned elsewhere, but I'd like to suggest an upgrade to traps so my rogue can become more than a treasure hunting locksmith.

i like the idea , any1 should be able to change hair style every now and then
even a dwarf!, it should be limited tho , to say... every 7 days RL times
BUT, i can already see the flame fest of "GO BACK TO GTA:SA!!!! THIS D&D!!!!"

I like the idea, but really, is this some sort of fantasy... what if you were bald ? Are you suggesting there should be a magic barber's shop to cure Dwarf pattern balding... lol

actually. if you look real closely there are no bald toons in this game
( even the ones with "bald" look), you can see it looks like those bald parts are shaved rather than no hair at all

You can get hair cuts and hair dyes in pnp.
I know its fluff, and i'd rather have more content, but its still a cool idea.

I play in a static party of a few friends... unfortunatley recently our rogue has had to quit playing this has left us with a group of 4 players. The problem we are finding now is some dungeons just aren't possible without a rogue. I know Turbine wanted to make the rogue class really useful, but this is rediculous.
Wizards should be able to use the knock spell it wont make rogues redundant because the amount of traps in the game. But as it stands right now half the time you access resshrines because you can't unlock the door without a rogue. "The fire caves" in "three barreled cove" is a particular example of this.

well... if u choose a bald person at character creation, TOO BAD! barber shop not open for u :p
but u get it.. and the idea will kill some time and timekillers is super in MMORPGs... espesially this one :p

Without taking much consideration of what has already been written in
this and other threads I want to use DZX's post on the US DDO Forum as a point of reference: http://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17791
Basically, DZX covers all the suggestions for improvement I would want, and more - I don't really have a clue how a player economy would effect the game. Of course, not all suggestions should have high priority either, but should be kept in mind for future improvements.
A better chat system is a high priority, not only for me but for alot of others as well it seems (see end of reply for links to their threads).
The lack of a quicker way of replying in itself makes this system old and clumsy. Even though /r isn't so hard, it's still two keystrokes more than just
pressing one key. It's not like the keyboard lacks keys to map a reply-key either.
Same thing, a last-told key would be excellent addition. If I'm in a conversation through tells with someone, I don't want to have to put in /t <name> every time, and /r isn't reliable - mistells occure when someone sends me a tell in between. The first thread included below has another idea that could work, when in conversation with multiple people.
Of course, party and guild should have the same possibilities. Doesn't even have to be mapped default - just add it to the keyboard controller settings in options.
Make the textbuffer bigger. Having it so small limits conversation and RP imho.
Keep focus in chat window even if something else happens. I don't want my writing to be abrupted just because someone feels like spamming me with invites.
I like the fact that I can create a custom channel, however, I want to be able to create a custom channel for a sole conversation.
The only other thing I've come across that I felt should be changed is with surnames. I couldn't come up with a surname for my most recent character and wanted to look around first, thinking I could use the /changesurname command. Much to my disappointment I needed to have a token or something to be allowed to use the command. You should let characters that lack a surname use the /changesurname command atleast once before the requirement of a token kicks in. This of course is very low priority.

my wishlist :
1.Armors and clothing with more visual effects, just like the enchanted weapons
2.Barber shop - i'd like a haircut
3.Crafting - i hate getting an awesome armor, and then it looks like s**t, would be much nicer if we could somehow make our own armor.
4.I'm guessing i won't get crafting anytime soon, so therefor - an option to see what the armor looks like before i buy it!!
5.More guild content, houses, cities, etc
6.Larger areas
7.Mounts
8.Respec for characters after a while
9.Pawnshops at better locations - which i believe are getting moved to marketplace after the module?
10.More clothing drops
11.More hats and helmet - i don't like a single helmet in the game :( maybe put in some kinda glasses
12.That tells would be default on all the chat channels - way too many people that don't know they have to right click - incomming - tells
13.Fix the spell descriptions - should be better and more detailed
14.More emotes
15.Make web a caster lever 4 spell instead of nerfing it
16.More classes - heard something about druid and monk coming eventually
17.More character slots
18.More character slots!!
19.Making bards able to play music that people can listen to, for example in the tavern
20.More continous visual effects on buffs - like longstrider that creates a spark when you run
21.Shared bank account between your characters of some sort - getting a bit tired of asking my friends to help me out, and this is a bit of a problem sincie 90% of the game is inside dungeons, which means they're usually quite busy
22.ingame mail system.. or letters of some sort
23.Make warforged a bit more healing friendly, people usually overlook them when creating a team just because they're more of a hassle and a spellpoint drain
24.someone fix the friends list >.<
25.Fix Falling damage when jumping off a bonfire, falling a few inches, and getting squashed on the ground and die - falling bug
26.Better admin tools
27.Free trial period - done
28.More quest - Coming on wednesday
29.More static rewards for the hard main quests - On it's way
30.Some new robes - whoever made the robes, please make some new ones too, i keep getting blue and orange and white robes, none that i like perticulairy either.
31.Eventually, in half a year ++ start considering PvP possibilities
32.Holstering weapons, put the sword in the belt, or a staff across the back..
33.More staffs - 3 different looking ones atm
34.More good fighting animations, improved trip should look good with for example a staff, or maybe a stab in the knee.. I like to see that good moves get's good animations
35.LvL10's with awesome equipment should look like they're better than everyone else, hate me all you want for saying it, but FYI i don't have a character anywhere close to lvl 10 - this rolls a bit back to the more visual effects part.
36.Public test server
37.Open access to US servers - know it might be hard, but that dosn't stop me from hoping
38.An ingame introduction to the LFM function, most people have no idea how to use - remove it (at least make it so that once the team is full, the LFM is removed)
39.Harder to make guilds - way too many 1,2,3-10 man guilds
40. think i better stop here, i'm supposed to be working :) but for one last wish, drunken fights, like they're adding in conan :D Not like pvp or anything, just a possibility for some fist vs fist action
41. aaaah one more!! make it possible for me to kick *******s from the group while in a dungeon!!
Love the game lots and lots xoxoxox , this is just my wishlist :)

Oh my wish list...
1. people stop complining about things which they can change with a little thought and consideration, for example the fully customisable in game chat which some people seem to think is locked down like wows, but if they took a moment to fiddle with it would dicover with a little work all of their problems would go away.
2. people stop producing lists of ideas that cant be discussed in any real fashion. hey you may think your ideas are fantastic, you might be right, but make it easier to discuss them by giving them their own threads. If its not good enough a suggestion to stand alone, dont bother making it, you obviously haven't thought it out well enough.
3. People constantly asking for things that have turned up in other games, because it was in the other game it must be easy to implement. Programming doesn't always work like that. the system might not have the necessary infrastructure to support your idea, doesn't mean its a bad idea, just dont start claiming it will be easy to implement, because it probably isn't. CoH didn't get capes for ages, WoW's wardrobe didn't come out till at least a year after release.
4. More varied quest content
5. More NPc interactions
6. Quest trees, which change depending upon how you act in a dialogue
7. Non linear quest lines
8. multiple solutions to quests
9. Evilside content
10.

These are my wishes.
1. Random dungeons
- So that players can not learn where everyting is, when they have to do dungeons again and again, with same character or Alt.
2. Change halflings walk style
- Halfing runs looks like some idiot 80 years old monkey. Make it more respectable.
3. Make benefit of items to be related level of character
- I mean like some lower level charcater is using high magic items, he would not get full benefit from it. Also if there is special function on some item, make it to have lowest level limit what it can be activated.
4. Color code scrolls, by it's class types
- Arcade scrolls would be little different colors than relic scrolls.
5. No PvP ever
- I wish this because I have seen so many PvE games destroyed by this, with all the balance issues and diffferent needs from the game. D&D is about group going in dungeon for adventure. Finding the treasure and lore.
6. Body changes in character creation
- Like height, weight, muscularity and so on..
7. Ability find active quest
- Add special mark on the map or screen some way people can find the current active quest.
8. Do not ever make friend lists.
- I wish this because it will destroy pick up grouping. Have seen this happen in other games.
9. Trap information
- If rogue spot trap, he/she should get some information about the trap difficulty, before trying to disable it.
10. Make so that group can have common spot chat text type
- This means if someone spot secret door or trap. It will show to group chat for all, if they have this special type of chat active. Also make it like characters own spots and others spots.
11. Never add solo content
- I wish this because the grouping will allways suffer from it. This game is about group going in the adventure. Not about some unsocial person who can't stand other people or have no time to play or no pations to wait a few minutes. There are single games for it, no need to use MMORPG's for it.
12. Add more npc voice content.
- I like when npc talks what he/she is saying. Like it's in EQ2.
13. More slots in bank box.
- I don't get why bank slot has less slots than characters backbag.
14. Normal Clothing
- I don't get, why we don't have normal cloths? We aren't allways in battle.

You mis-quoted me there. my issue is with people making suggestions and claiming it would be easy to implement, or it should be in because it is in that other game. for example being able to see what something would look like on you like in wow would be nice, but to suggest that because wow has it, that ddo should/must have it is my problem, can you see what i'm trying to say?
do you really want me to make 40 threads?
Yes please. The thing is, most of those 40 threads are on subjects that already have their own threads, so just add your comments on those into the already existing threads and only create new threads for new ideas/ ideas that are pretty old now. Wishlist threads like this have no real benefit, especially when they get so long and increasingly off topic. They are just used by people who want to make long lists of ideas without really thinking about what they are suggesting.

Don;t know if this has been suggested before, but a button on the guild and friends lists that enables you to tell (much like on the player search screen. That way I can select a buddy/guild member and click tell nice and easily instead of having to write /t and them trying to spell thier stupidly complicated and long names (I mean have you ever tried to type out "Arwen"..... what a spelling dammit!!! why couldn't he have called his char something sensible like "Anantaosanwë-centa"!!)

I would like quest management to be tidied up a little.
Seperate active and completed quests.
Categorise quests by area, then specific location of quest giver (which area is everfull flagon in????)
A facility to click a button and find ONLINE players that are currently NOT GROUPED and on SAME QUEST.

I want to see a Player vs player arena or something like that. Were you can bet on a fight or be in a fight.
But i don't want the prize to be high 50 gold and 50 exp is enough(maybe even less), but there would have to be a limit to the fighting like you're only allowed to fight in the arena once or twice per day and same thing goes with betting.
this i beleive would be diffrent way of gaining a small amount of exp and gold.
I'm sorry if someone already has posted an idea simliar to this one.
And excuse my english.

Hi I'm playing a cleric of the Silver Flame and I am missing:
- the possibility to adjust the clothes I wear, such as f.i. a tabard showing my holy symbol
- the possibility to use the Silver Flame's favored weapon, the longbow, being a martial weapon
- spells adjusted to the cleric's deity: I really don't want to go walking around with a fiendish! giant scorpion as a priest of the silver flame.
I think stuff like that would add up to the roleplaying experience and the atmosphere of the game world.

Greetings everyone,
I haven't seen what I am about to propose anywhere, but if it already has been put then I apologize for the repetition.
These are some RP aspect of the game that I thought would be cool.
We have all seen that there are a various bunch of collectibles scattered around the game, but what if those same items were to be used in a different way...
So here it goes.
#1: Gather various pieces of collectibles to form a potion at a specific NPC for a set value of gold to get a potion that you actually want instead of a random given from one of the already set NPCs
- Reason #1: It heightens the value of the already implemented collectibles and furthers the players active search for them.
- Reason #2: It adds the feel that there is an actual recipe progress in game that makes you want to do actually search for collectibles.
#2: Same as above, but for scrolls - both for the Divine and Arcane ones.
- Reason #1: As above.
- Reason #2: As above.
#3: Add Scroll Containers for the variety of scrolls that can be made/found/bought.
- Reason #1: Scroll Containers is not allowed to hold anything other than scrolls and because of this frees up alot of space for other kinds of items, such as collectibles.
- Reason #2: In the RP aspect, scrolls is an everyday and very much used aspect of the regular PnP game for your average arcane or divine spellcaster.
#4: Add Potion Belts for the variety of potions that can be made/found/bought.
- Reason #1: Potion Belts is not allowed to hold anything other than potions and because of this frees up space for other kinds of items, such as collectibles.
- Reason #2: Pretty much as the above, but it makes the potions much more usable to all the others characters as well. I will explain why in a second.
For the last two ideas to work properly, then make the Scroll Container and the Potion Belt usable through the quick-slot bar for easy access and with the soon-to-come icons that are going to be on the various potions, then it will be much easier to recognize the individual potions.
I haven't included the wands in these thoughts since they carry a much more powerful and expensive use than a potion or a scroll, so I will let that be up to the game designers to think about that one.
If you have any comments on these thoughts, feel free to share them since that is what this community is all about. If you think them just plain stupid, then state why so that we may work from there.
This was my 2 cp's.
