I have just had it confirmed that the game will release, initially, on CD-ROM and that it will come on 3 CDs.
I apologise for anyone who was misled by previous forums replies and by the information provided on our website when the game was announced.
We initially planned to release the game on DVD only but, following completion of research into the number of PCs with DVDs equipped, decided that this would prevent a significant number of users from being able to play the game without first upgrading.
will it only be released on CD, or will there be a DVD Version, too?
I'd really prefer a DVD version, I don't like switching between the 3 CDs during the game ...

Can't you read or what?
Damn
sorry, if I misunderstood something, maybe my english is not the best. But for me it's not clear if there will only be a CD-ROM version or if there will be both versions released. If it is said clearly in the upper posting, explain it to me, but I only read that there will come a CD version, not that there will be no DVD version ?!
If you know the right answer, tell me, but your angry posting didn't help me at all.

So that means that at some point there will be a DVD version?

There MIGHT be a DVD release at some point (I wouldn't rule it out on budget release for example) but we're not saying that there definitely will be.
I certainly wouldn't recommend waiting for the DVD version as it might be a very long wait.

I hoped it was on a DVD-rom, cause I don't want to change everytime from CD.
And I don't know a person without a DVD-player in his computer.
So release the game on a DVD-rom.
DVD is the future and already the present

Ever heard of multi cd install? I'm not sure, but everybody here jumps to the conclusion that it requires cd swapping in game, but who knows? I guess it just installs 1 gb of HD space, just like Diablo II did ;) .

I know, but it woul be nice that DTM is the first game on DVD, like in the past: Bladerunner.
Codemasters says: we're getting the game on cd cause most of the people don't have a dvd-player, but I think the system requirements are gonna be very high and in most of the computer of such a requirements there is already a dvd-player, soo...
