Hi,
as I heard a few weeks ago there will be a full online-multiplayer support for 20 players for DTMRD. We, the German Racing Community (Deadline Racers, Internetracers, eYe-clan, Limit Racers and others) are really happy about this news and expect a full functionable online-mode (for CMR 3 too, btw. :) ) cause the quality and longtime-fascination of a game depends on things like that.
Now the thing is that most racegames have no support for Firewallstuff, router,Proxy, LAN-Configurations (in opposite to Tactical-/Ego-Shooters, why?) and so for this gamers its very hard or nearly impossible to get a stable reliable connection to everyone in the gameroom.
At least a clear port definition and portrange limitation is needed and I hope that you guys are considering this as well.
So again: PLEASE , PLEASE, PLEASE use a clear port definition and portrange limitation in DTMRD and write it down in the manual or in the readme or wherever you want to and everybody will be happy (especially me )
Hope someone responsible will read this :)
