There's not yet pictures of the full tier 2 set with the new set bonuses - I'll update them when the patch release.

The purple set is 3 parts: gloves, leggings and chest (or something). Lorebook is wrong.
The new 5/6 set bonus for Lady's armour is -18% power cost to Penetrating Shot.

I actually quite like the hunter set (might be looking at bow and blade book8), at least we get a bit more power to the pool and some increased icpr via fate (although will owuld be more useful).
Still.

The new 5 piece set bonus is very good, but I'd want at a minimum half that might converted to will

Use tier 1 armor (armor of the great bow) if you plan doing the turtle/watcher, or whatever instance has a lot of acid damage. This set has been created for the new b8 raid, DN. As you can see, the 4 items bonus is light and fire, it's easy to realize what kind of damage we will have to deal on the toughest challenges in this raid.

Not a big fan of armor swapping my dwarf can only walk 100 meters a day then hes out of breath. =x
Edit: light and fire? So is it possible that the 2 oils don't work on the new raid?

The fire and light oils have nothing to do with this armor, or new raid. They will work as they did before.
I think that the armor have lighting and fire defense because the new raid will possibly have mobs/bosses that will deal this kind of damage. Defense bonuses you have on your armor have nothing in common with the damage you deal when using oils:rolleyes:.

Is the squid and turtle weaker to fire damage? No hunters use fire damage on norm' because LM's debuff the protection. So it will follow the same on the new bosses i would imagine, however orcs have always been suseptaible to light damage.
Another point i have read else where is some bosses will have common damage immunity and an unofficial statement belerind damage will be the favorite for use (as always).

Yes the turtle is weak to fire damage afaik even if theres no lm who uses his tar.
So I wonder what kinda boss mob would deal light damage.

Just to point out it's Lightning defense, not light. Perhaps the set's made out of rubber (ooer missus...)

Not just lightning defense, but this lightning defense may broke our damage dealt when using light/fire oils :D.
Anyway, I can't wait to see the new raid, I hope it will be something similar with the rift. Who knows what creature we will need to kill in there!

Interesting, i saw an Lm report he had remarkable resistance to all damage types...
I still think your right though.

I cant say that I m impressed with the new set.
The new 5/6 set bonus for Lady's armour is -18% power cost to Penetrating Shot.
Oh come on! That +50% Low Cut Duration is awesome for PvP - Soloing. I want it! :)
What?Lotro is not a PvP game? Oh well, I will whine to my corner alone then....
At least make it a -5% power cost on all bow skills. OP? -2% then!
I still think that SoA Helegrod set was the best. Better even from the shiny Rift set cause it was an all-around set that could be used for all purposes.
I really dont like when a set is based on a single raid or , even worse , on a single boss. And then when another raid - boss appears (about 3 months later?) grind starts again.
Make an all - around set and then use "gadgets". Fighting squid? Fine, buy some "Acid Resistance Armour Plates" from the specialized vendor (like the Fire GIants in Rift) or even better the Plates can be crafted by metalworkers.
Fighting a Fire damaging boss? Reinforce your armour with "Leather Pads" that can be crafted by foresters. No need to change a whole set for 1 boss.
