There's various cloaks with Stealth level, possibly 1 from one of the Moria rep factions (but don't quote me on that).

So only cloaks and pocket items that give stealth level? :(

Can anyone explain what's the purpose of this stealth?
I mean, is it useful at all? Because I have a legacy on my first leg axe and I want to know if it is worthy to pop points into stealth...

Let's say I get a total of +10 stealth (don't know if that's possible) I will become less visible to creeps, or these stealth items must be used in conformity with a stealth skill as well (I have sylvian shadows as race trait)

you have to be in stealth for those effects work.
but stealth detection does not require you to be in stealth.
either way those legacies are expansive and if you give points to those your dps and weapon will end crap.
There is not much utility even in pvmp regarding stealth legacies but you can always swap a cloak and pocket item to enhance your stealth level.it helps when you want to lurk near creeps with SS ( elven racial skill) or stand still with camouflage in a very enemy crowded zone.
Nonetheless if there is a BA or spider they will see you with their insae stealth detection kits and wargs can also see better then orcs.
forget about those legacies just ask a loremaster to give you stealth detection which is +4 untraited i guess?

+3 untraited and +5 traited :)

But that legacy (stealth and stealth detection) needs alot legacy points to lvl up, so i reccomend to use on some other legacys.

I remember a post somewhere on the forums, where it was confirmed, that items with a + stealth bonus only apply to real class based stealth abilities and NOT to any form of racial stealth. So you have to take out elf and hobbit stealth. That leaves Camouflage for a hunter.

Oh. That'd be interesting. If it's true, then I can free up 2 bag slots on my Elven hunter, who's carrying around a spare cloak and bauble for just this purpose. (I'm not worried about boosting my stealth level when I'm using Camouflage, since, if I'm not moving, I'll probably be hiding in a corner anyway.)

I don't know about MoM, but back in SoA, I definitely noticed a difference between stealth items equipped and none when using Sylvan Shadows. That's how I soloed the Circle of Despair deed back in the day.

Maybe someone can help:

It seems that pocket item we got from Miners or Guards (one which gives +2 stealth level) is not stackable with other bonuses.

I have stealth level +3 (+1 camouflage and +2 on LI legacies) and it is written like that on my camouflage skill.

But, if i use pocket item which gives +2 stealth I do not get +5 stealth level when I check my camouflage skill?

Can it be combined at all or it is some bug, or just wrong description on camouflage skill?

It does stack, but Camouflage still adds +1 (or +3 in your case) stealth level. Your TOTAL stealth level is calculated with added items as well, getting as far as +7 in Camouflage (+1 from skill, +2 from legacy, +2 pocket, +2 cloak).

i have tried using camouflage and +4 stealth (from the aughaire book and hammermark cloak) in EM, this gives me a stealthed level of 65. I get spotted nearly all the time.

Eleven stealth so i can move only gives a stealth of 61 (-3+4). I can usually stealth past the orcs in Flaming Deeps to get the the flake dropper as long as i am careful. The mobs there are level 56ish

Sparring in the 21st last night using camouflage lets me not be spotted for a few seconds only, as long as the opponent is far enough away, but its enough time for a Heartseeker :). Its the only way you can beat anyone as a hunter as our skills are not 360 degrees like many loremaster or RK ones and we have such long windups to get the big hits off.

A Hunter's life in the moors is quite difficult nowdays (unless you're one of the happy campers in SB/TOL who leech all day), and remaining static for even the shortest periods of time is quite certainly death, so Camouflage sees little use for me.

Back in the day in SoA, I once used Camo with +5 stealth level total (Trade Secrets pocket and one of the Annuminas cloaks I think), and a whole group of creeps ran over me without noticing me. I've also used the Elvish stealth up to +1 succesfully in PvE many places, but also back in SoA. Perhaps it has been broken in MoM, but I really don't think so.

Remember that BAs have a toggle skill of +10 Stealth Detection, which is a deal braker.
