After-Flight Death Shots?

Hey there,

Eiraha Wolfsong, Loremaster here :D I tried a hunter, and am level 24 with critted armour (so this about to be discussed isnt due to rubbish equipment). My hunter's name is Aliria Shadowstep, from Gilrain :) Often, after I use Desperate Flight to escape, I get damage from shots AS I appear in the rallying circle, and for a few seconds after, then die. This wastes the skill for 30 minutes AND I get respawn costs. I tried leaving more morale before I do it but to no avail! Shots still take me down after I am 300m away from the mob.

Is this a technological or class issue? Any advice on solving it?

oh well that used to happen in the moors quite often. in pve nevver occured to me though.
mybe you should try desperate flight with more than 1morale left ;) if that continues to happen you might want to /bug it

Yes it's just a case of using the skill a little earlier.

Basically how it works is if the skill has already been started by the mob (for example an arrow flying towards you) even you if you DF then it will still hit you when you respawn in the rallying circle. Also bear in mind any dots you may have on you as these will continue to drain your morale when you respawn.

Lotro has a shoddy combat engine, in that skills are not interrupted properly if the target leaves LoS, whether it be by taking cover behind a pillar, using HiPS or teleporting away.
