Cool, thanks for the list. I think I am also hearing a lot of rumor too--which makes me itch even more for known information. For example, I was told that "legendary items will be improved" and not to ID any high level legendary until after book 7. So I've been holding on to things, and not IDing them (two higher level second age books I got on the AH for a gold a piece). Again... that might just be a rumor/wishful thinking on the part of the person who told me.

I think the high level and 1st/2nd age thing is just a rumor, ATM. I know there are some improvements to the legendary system coming that are confirmed. For example, you'll be able to remove the relics off of a maxed LI. Also, at level 50 (for 1st/2nd age) you'll get a gold legacy every time (if this isn't in already).

Anyone heard similar rumours to those in the reply? This came from the US minst forum, I found the last sentence particularly interesting, should we be holding off from final reforges until book 7?

The thing with the gold legacy I hear the first time here, neverthless I would like the idea.

About the identify thing...the author of the thread is talking about his book, so I presume he plays maybe a minstrel. For minstrels the developers promised, that the awfull mentor cooldown legacy will vanish with B7, but ONLY for those books, that are not identified on patch day.

I have no idea, if there are other changes in the legendary system in the future.

Maybe they heard the plea about the (too much) randomness of the system.

I'm kind of ok with the randomness part. Its going to take a very long time for everyone to get the 2nd age they want under the current system, which is a good thing in terms of giving people something to do.

I hope Turbine doesnt give in and make Leg's too customizable - they've "Easymoded" too much content in the past - crafting for example, was really hard work in terms of levelling and materials, and hence well rewarded - now its so easy that top tier crafted items are almost a joke.

as the OP states the info comes from the US minstrel forums. minstrels have that very useless Mentoring-related legacy, and the devs said it'd removed from the in Book 7. the reason why they advise not to ID the legendaries is, that this useless legacy will be removed from the 'legacy pool' (so you can't 'roll' it on random IDs/reforges), not replaced on the existing items; so if you ID your item now, you may get it, if you ID your item post-b7, you have no chance to get that one.

hunters are free to ID their bows, imo

i'm quite sorry i can't provide source of the Mentor-related thingy, i don't feel like i want to browse through all the minnie-threads now... you are free to not believe me and keep those bows and melee weapons unidentified :)
