Hey folks.
So, the problem is such. I've decided to replay this gaming classic on my new PC, probably just ot get a kick out of maxed out graphics settings, since no such thing was possible on my (very) old machine. :)
Every thing was going fine and dandy until I came to the last (5th, S.S.) stage in the last event of the champs, UK rally. When I finished the final stage, I got congrats and final rally&champs table, then came the ending screen with the fireworks and congrats message. I don't know if I'm getting to old and I'm starting to forget things, but I can't get out of this last screen. I've tried all the keyboard keys, but to no avail. What could be the problem? I'm running WinXP pro SP1, Geforce4 w/latest drivers, 512 megs RAM. At first I thought maybe it's got to do something with the graphics card settings, so switched off all the 'eye candy' functions, but the end result was the same. Don't hold it against me, but if I remember correctly (lots of time has passed since I last played CMR2) you were supposed to see the actual fireworks effect in the sky, weren't you? And I'm not seeing that, so I figure it's still got to do something with the graphics card - too new a drivers, perhaps?
