Hello community,

my game Race Driver: GRID is usually running smooth and after some time (or races) there starts to be a slowdown. It seems only to occur in races, but it continues in the menu and it only stops after I restart the whole game.

So is your computer running hot? Have you tried 800x600, no AA and low graphic settings?

I am using a notebook and it is powerful enough to play games as Race Driver: GRID, Colin McRae: DiRT, Assassins Creed and Supreme Commander smooth. I know that notebooks aren't officially supported, but the games seem to run fine. I downloaded the tool gpu-z and when the slowdown appears I can see that my gpu is about 110 C. Any program I try to use in order to control the fan of my gpu doesn't recognize any.
A BIOS update wouldn't help it neither a complete package of new drivers did it.
I will try to play at 800x600 soon and I will tell you the results of the test.
Is there any other to control the fan?

i guess there exists software to manually control the fan, but for Nvidia cards i have no clue. But hell, 110 C is pretty hot. And i have no experience with notebooks either.

So is your computer running hot? Have you tried 800x600, no AA and low graphic settings?

Hmm GeForce 8600M GT, you running a laptop or is this an integrated video chip?

When I use Ultra-Low/Low settings the game runs fine. My gpu is then at 83 C.
