went racing on my clean os install last night with the JRC FJ 1000
2nd in the first race and first in the second except taht while about to return to lobby i lost connection once again, used DAVEURUS account
anyway fired up grid today in mnormal os and after 3 restarts signed in recorded the sessions list with fraps
got 3 dots with all of the sessions till last one on the list and connection failed
also look at how long it takes for session list to tell me i have 3 dots
do they mean the connection to the guy hsting the session or to codemasters
one other thing ive noticed is that this web site is much slower than anywhere else i surf

can the devs reply please

just did a traceroute to this site and its taking 170ms compared to average 30ms to racedrivergrid.com so where exactly is the server based that grid the game connectes to ,if its on the same servers in the states that the forums are well that would explain the disconnects for me and others with this isp
or do ye have more than one server for grid the game

So doggod, you are able to make the start line and race a full race, sometimes?

Codemaster, I also would like to know where the Demonware servers are located that GRID uses? Are they just in England or are there some in the USA and other parts of the World.

Can Demonware server(s) be part of the problem some guys are having online?

I've lost connection online in a middle of a race once in awhile, so it happens, but should not happen most the time.

I do remember I went through a spell with racing Flatout 2 online where I was getting a lot of network disconnect errors. I place a phone call to Charter Cable and told them I was having problems. In the next day or two my network disconnect errors went away. I also had friend who was having lots of troubles dropping from Flatout races online and I told him to call his provider and after he did this, his connection was more stable online a day or two afterwards.

So it does not hurt to call up provider and tell them your having problems online, they may do something to help fix the problem. Worth a shot.

well now here is a funny thing i assumed that denonware was just some code they had bought but it seems no as Purple44 just mentioned
so i did a google search for "Demonware servers"
and what comes up
well the first page of hits are related to gamers having prob connecting and loosing connections, games range from dirt to cod4 although none of the posts are that recent ,but also it seems every game uses the same port

by the way is there any devs posting in the forum any more ??

would like a comment on way or the other
