crash to desktop

Hi to all,
i start the game
Then I press "Grid World" and came to the first race of the game, with the black Dodge Viper.. I drove the whole race...i finish and get the results table,and after i press enter to continue the game crashes to desktop, and there is no "send error", like i've never started the game, i tried to change the setting on the graphic card with no AA everything on low still the same.And the same happens when i tried to play race day,the whole race goes smooth, and on the result when i press enter goes to desktop.

Any help??

Hiya,

I think I have this same problem, but with a slight difference, it only happens on the World Race and the Drift Races...

Ok I can play the first GRID World race, I come first and then after pressing continue to move to the next level I am provided with the "Grid has stopped responding.." or whatever.
I can play all other individual "race day" races except what seems like drift ones. I tried loading the nuremberg ring drift level and it did exactly the same. I have tried loading the nuremberg ring on a non drift mode and it is fine for example.

This is very frustrating as I have nearly had it with re-installing my system to run GRID. This is a clean install (2 days ago) of Vista 64bit with SP 1.

Please someone take the pain away...

If you can't race the Drift races in Race Day, sound like you are using the noDVD exe. With v1.2 patch, be sure to try running GRID from DVD to see if this fixes the problem.

That was it man. Not Codies fault at all. I totally forgot I even did that. I hate having a DVD in the drive while playing any game and I will always, un-apologetically use a no-DVD patch. No pirating going on here, just hate the DVD in my drive after its installed...less airflow through the case and an extra hunk of heat that doesn't need to be in there. You can use a DVD as a hotplate for your coffee after its been in there. Thanks dude!
