Metaboli patch?

I downloaded Grid through codemasters/gamesplanet/metaboli.
I still haven't installed any of the patches simply because I can't.

I sent mail to codemasters regarding the issue, they just say its
out on all versions.

I downloaded from several places, all says I haven't Grid installed
maybe because they are for the DVD-version.

Can anyone provide the download link for my version please?

Well there is currently no 1.2 patch for GRID. The 1.1 patch installed in the wrong directory but it is available. If you do patch to 1.1 it will patch to root C: if I recall correctly just copy and paste all the files into your real GRID folder and that takes care of 1.1. As for 1.2 Im patiently waiting the same as you.

Ran the Metaboli 1.2 patch and suprise, suprise this one just says "cannot detect a version of grid". Am installed to a non C: location... come on guys.

Same here, for me...still can't patch(its on a separate drive). Way to go!

Mine said it was already patched and did I wanna patch again....er oki? But it appears to have patched it correctly as my executable is 1.2 I haven't tested it yet its far too late to drag my playseat and start roaring around.
I will play tomorrow first thing Im sure.

They really need to change the way of installing that patch.
Since the patch can't find the game, maybe we can do it.

The game runs smoothly without any patches, but if there
is a patch, I want it. Too bad it just wont work.

Guess I'll just play without it.

Yes it doesn't say much for you Codies, or your partners when you have to put out TWO patches now that can't even install right??(on all the versions be it DVD or D2D etc..) How does that reflect on the rest of the game??

No reply from gamesplanet.com support either ... time to request a refund I think. Both patches have failed to work!

Well I did a complete uninstall and re-install afterward. It went in flawlessly actually. I just used the 1.2 patch as well.
Now I have both my D/L of the game and my patches on a drive other than C: . I wonder if running them from another location other than C: forces them to look in the right place?

Hi, mine is installed to d:\games\grid, 1.2 patch was downloaded to e:\incoming, you'd like to think that the patch installer would read the "installed software" reg entry for Grid to determine where to install to. :)

Which dirs are you using? Wonder if a reinstall would help me?

Shouldn't have to do a reinstall tho! Loath to uninstall as it took ages to get the Logitech wheel to work too! Another failure of the game.

If you decide to reinstall GRID after uninstalling it, backup your savegame folder first. Then you can put this copy back after installing GRID and v1.2 patch.
