after my last post i wondered if i might be driver related ,i mean how often do u update your ethernet drivers
so i did a search for
marvell yukon 88e8056
in google and low and behole thte third hit was a guy saying he had probs with their driver and a link to newer one
so i downloaded it and installed
and loaded up grid
no connection
shut grid down and restarted
login good
did a search for europe ranked
and had my first race online
came 9th in a bmw race in nuremberg ,
completely lag free
:( however lost connection after race
but didnt loose login to codemasters
im still going to put in a seperate card tomorrow
but im wondering if this is what is causing the issue as every board has onboard ethernet mostly and there are only a few providers of these chips
to the guys i raced tonight ,it was only a couple of minutes but it was the best crack ived had in a long time

after posting i restarted the game and logged in straight away ,found a race in europe and went spectating
unfortunatly i lost connection once again
still i think i maybe onto something with the onboard issue
