am hoping this can be made sticky
from reading a post by PT_KASKA

where he tested his machine and his mates on the same connection,
his works and his mate dosent
that got me to thinking as this is happening with different operating systems with different providers
could it be related to the ethernet on each machine
so rather than having different posts if we could all post machince ethernet ,onboard or seperate
op sys and net provider - country

asus rampage formula motherboard
marvell yukon 88e8056 pci-e gigabit ethernet controller
router and no router
vista and xp sp3 32bit
ireland
cable
UPC (use to be cablelink) provider

grid demo,1.0,1.1,1.2
probs are cant login and when i can keep getting disconected within minutes

too late here now but in the morning im going to find an add in card and disable my onboard and see if that helps

my friends machine after a format:
Asus P5KPL
Gigabit lan - Atheros Attansic L1
my router at my place with SAPO and modem at his place with NETCABO
Portugal
SAPO/NETCABO

not working no matter what service provider
will install the latest drivers and see if it works

Didn't try the demo in both cases, but the results are the same in all 3 versions 1.0/1.1/1.2
