i was using gpu-z to check my gpu temperature and it was rising to nearly 120C while testing all other games the temp never rises above 80C maybe this is the cause of everyones slowdowns INCLUDING MINES.

Mine never get over 80 playing Grid with autofan settings but I still get slowdown problems occasionally.

Not overheating my 8800, the fans tend to blow quite a bit after hours of play but no overheating here.

Oh, and no slowdowns either.

Now I know why the water is raising in Holland! You are melting the north pool.

uhm my 8800GTX is not even getting warm. it make to about 53c or so but that it. but my cpu temp they do get warm like around 40 to 44c

and i have water cooling on the cpu. i do have the Arctic cooling Accelero Xtreme 8800 VGA cooler. i got mine from sidewinder.com and man it is a great gpu cooler and i am even over clocking my gpu and the gpu fan set to 80%.

maybe the problem you are having maybe your case does not have proper air flow threw it? when was the last time you cleared out your pc, inside that is. with a can of compressed air? i do mine once every other wk and then once a month i take it a part and do a though clean up on all fans. i clean the fine dust that gets on the fan blades on the case.

so i know that the fans do not have any restriction on them from that.

I had to manually up the fan speed on my 8800GTS 512 to make this game run stably. I didn't have this problem in other games. GRID runs great now and even better with the 1.2 patch.

I also have to manually adjust the fan seetings for my 8800gt or it just makes a strange noise after a while ,sort of like it's upping the revs but then instantly going back to 30% ,gets very annoying and the card hits about 100c lol, this also happens when i play cod4 but nothing else, manually setting my fan to around 60% keeps my card around 70c while playing.

My 8800 gets warmer but only around 65°C, the cpu though sure gets abused, from 39° all the way up to 56°, kinda surprised me a bit, no slow downs though

i to don't have any slow downs even with the none patch game. but i do over clock my system and then with this gfx cooler i have. my gpu temps have not gone past 56c and the fan speed set to 80% at that. beside i do have my cpu water cooled but it is the stock system that came with the case. sept for the cpu block it is a dangerden TDX block.

I have my 9600gt overclocked to 753mhz core, 1825mhz shader, and 2000mhz memory and my temps dont go past 65c. I did have to manually set the fan to 80%. Even at stock speeds, the 9600gt was running around 60c.
