Hi - just thought some might like to know that I got sound hardware accelleration to work on my Xonar DX by turning movie mode on and turning DS3D GX2 off. I am running Vista 64 btw.

Hi,
i just got my Asus Xonar D2 (PCI Version)
same works for this card but it does not sound any better.
Actually if i press one of those Presets (Movie, Music...) the Subwoofer gets turned off in the "FlexBass" menu -.-
If i dont use the Movie Preset it Sounds like Stereoupmix, all Speakers and Sub are active but it is no Surround.
If i use the Movie preset i can press the Hardware Acceleration button ingame but then i just have Stereo left.
Somethings very wrong here, does GRID even support 5.1 sound?
I mean shouldn't i hear the crashing from behind even if i dont have EAX active?

Been digging around a little bit and also had a look at the Asus forums about this. Theres a spcific post in the Asus forums here:
http://vip.asus.com/forum/view.aspx?id=20080708010117468&board_id=21&model=Xonar+DX&page=1&SLanguage=en-us
Which does not look promising but we will see soon I hope.
