Hi Codies, I would like to know if the v1.1 patch need to be uninstall first before installing the new V1.2 patch?
I've tried reading the threads here at GRID and have not found an answer. The v1.2 patch did not come with a readme file to say if OK to install v1.2 patch over v1.1.
Those that do have the v1.1 patch and updated GRID to v1.2 patch, did you install over v1.1 or did you uninstalled GRID ( after saving a copy of your \savegame folder under Documents\Codemasters\GRID ) and did fresh install of GRID and then installed v1.2 patch?

Nope, you do not need to uninstall anything.
You could install patch 1.2 over the 1.1 patch or patch direct to 1.2 from a fresh install from the dvd using patch2.
If you uninstalled GRID, savegames are not touched.

I patched from 1.1 to 1.2 and still got the annoying error on shutdown :(
So, I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it, and then added 1.2 patch only.
Has done the trick nicely ;)

I installed 1.0 to 1.2 without issues after patch 1.1 gave me grief to the point where I had to uninstall it. If you are having problems maybe give that a try.

I skip installing v1.1 after reading posts about problems with patch here at GRID forums. But have friends from Flatout Joint that have installed the v1.1 patch, so was wanting to know. Only problem I've had with stock GRID, I got the BSOD a couple of times with Vista 64-bit. I don't think I've seen a BSOD since updating my nVidia drivers from 169.25 to 177.35.
I found reading this thread, if installing v1.2 patch over GRID that been patch to v1.1, it best to reboot your computer:
Still Crashes at Exit (http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?p=4239698#post4239698 )
I install v1.2 patch over my stock GRID and game seem to be running fine so far offline and online. But did loose a few frame per second On the San Fransisco tracks. My minimum frame rate was about 40, now drops down to about 36 in some places when I tested the v1.2 patch after installing. ( 1280x1024, 2xAA and Ultra settings )
Be sure to check your settings after install ( repost ):
Game started up fine. I went to check my game settings first to make sure they where same as before the install of v1.2 patch. My settings for MOMO were all OK, but the graphic and sound setting were set back to stock defaults. Had to go and reset my resolution and settings to Ultra and adjust sound levels and turn sound Hardware Acceleration ON.
Thanks Codies for adding Assists OFF\ON option to online play! :)
