Maybe just uninstall the game completely and then re apply patch 1.2 and ignore 1.1
Just a suggestion if it's doing it constantly.

The 177.35 nVidia drivers for Vista 64-bit have been stable for me and gain 8 FPS over the 169.25 drivers on San Fransisco track. :)
I got a couple of BSOD ( with virtual memory error ) with stock GRID and 169.25 drivers, since updating to 177.35, I don't think I've gotten a BOSD since. But have lock up game or Vista saying there a problem while playing GRID World once in awhile, not too often.
Haven't gotten to test v1.2 patch much yet, put seem stable so far.
