1.) Set custom controls in the PC demo.
And/or:
2.) Change some of the steering and force feedback settings, like linearity and strength.
3.) Save the changes and restart the demo.

Result: Changes are lost. Makes it way too maddening to fix the controls each time for my G25.

once you set up your wheel try saving your player profile!

I've found that with a few different settings from sound hardware/levels to gamma, restart the game and it's reset. Once it "sticks" it seems fine though..

At first I had this problem too, but as the above said, save your profile yourself (it seems not autosaving your profile), and it's all fine.

We are investigating this now and will let you know what we find.

We believe this is because auto save is disabled in the demo. You have to quit the game through the exit option in the main menu or manually save to store custom controller settings. If the player Alt+F4's to exit the game without saving their settings will be lost.

It's not a problem will the full game as we auto save upon leaving the controller menu.

Hope this helps.

Okay thanks! I'll post back if manually saving the profile doesn't help.

Not exactly the same but similar; I've noticed that some graphics settings change at odd times too.

I was using FRAPS earlier to grab some screenshots, and after my first screenshot was taken, antialiasing disabled itself...mid-race.

Didn't come back until I restarted GRID.

there's no "auto" saving function yet.

you have to save it manually.

Yup, saving my profile saved the changes. Thanks.
