Forum user COREDRIVER has posted a solution
"I find a trick about our problem on Kaspersky's Forums ... here it is :
The "Invader (loader)" popup is letting you know the program you're trying to run is injecting code from the particular .exe into that program to run it. It's not likely to be a virus, spyware, malware, etc. If the game/program uses Securom or CD checks, and KIS won't let it run after you create the rule for the "Invader", do the following:
Right-click the KIS icon in the system tray, click "settings", click "Protection" in the left-hand menu, click the check box for "Compatibility", reboot computer. KIS should now allow your game/program to run without further issues, even with the above-mentioned MS Update installed.
Compatibility Mode was designed for this reason. It allows games/programs you want to run that have Securom and other CD checks to run. That's why it states "Compatibility mode for programs using self-protection methods"

Puf Puf, finally you don't need to uninstall your Kaspersky Antivirus to play RD Grid. DRM software developers use system hacks and exploits to protect games & softwares. Buy a game with DRM protection, is to take the risk of paying without play. I already had the problem with Starforce game protection and I will never buy anymore protected games."
Thanks dude :)

Switching it off does not help at all. I had to uninstall it. Inactivating usually makes sense when it's about playing, but uninstalling is really not acceptable for the final release. Hope Codemasters will solve this. I have no problem with many other recent PC games running with Kaspersky being monitoring my PC.
Well by chance, uninstalling Kaspersky and playing the demo was a great opportunity to discover one of the most impressive arcade race game i've ever played. played 1920*1200 with insane level of details at 60FPS .... good job buddies. 360 release is also very impressive .... have to decide on which platform buy the game .... :)

personnaly, it did not at all, even havin kaspersky monitoring at the highest level. I can understand editors want to protect their game, but this situation makes me feel i'm going to get an unauthorized copy with a hacked exe file, because it's allways the same : people who buy the game get the most anoyed by protection. Bring me a game without any protection, i will buy it. Put a protection, i will steal it....or get it on 360 ... who knows ...

Having played both 360 and PC demo, i simply hope the game will be a top seller because it really deserves it. Probably the most enjoyable arcade race game ever published since a very long time. To me the decision between PC or 360 release is very easy : If i have to deal with such uninstallation stuff and protection issue, then there's no way for me to get it on PC. Editors have to start thinking about this. If you have developped a very good game which seems to be the case and you sell it with at a reasonable price, then no piracy. And if piracy, anyway people who are stealling it would never had bought it anyway. Do a favor to loyal customer. Get rid off protection, at least when first or second patch comes out ...... I know my PC can do better that my 360, but really, protection or stuff like this makes me going crazy ...

This workaround didn't work for me. Never had this problem with any other game so the source of the problem is GRID. Fix it.

This thread is for problems with the anti virus. If you are experiencing other issues with the game, please create a new thread in the forum. Before you do, please thread through our GRID Tech Support FAQ (http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279124) and our General Tech Support thread (http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279123) which includes details on how to post a dxdiag if these do not help you.
Posting things like 'the game didnt start' or 'the source of the problem is GRID' doesnt help anyone. Attention is in the detail. If you want help, you need to provide as much info as possible.

Any chance to fix this in the final version ? Running Kaspersky in Compatibility mode disables some of its important features... :(
PS: In my case it does not work. I have uninstalled the Demo and probably, if this is not fixed, I will not buy the game. I've paid for Kaspersky and I plan to use it.

I've bought Kaspersky 7 to protect the computer and I buy games rather than copying them from friends or dl from the internet. If I have to uninstall Kaspersky in order to play a game then this were a clear border that I'm not willing to cross.
Codemasters, get your software working without exploits, probably simply dump the protection. The industry seems to get the point and leaves the outdated DRM thing behind. Because customers are not to be deceived.
Sadly, for everyone willing to pay for the game, there is another person who will steal it if they are given the chance. Sad, but true.
Does anyone know anything about the protection used on Steam? <Speculation>It might be that the Steam version of the game works with Kaspersky because it has a different protection method?</End of Speculation>

Steam uses standard SecuROM/Starforce or such things and has a proprietary structure to scan the users hard drive for illegal activities.
Therefore I won't consider steam as an alternative until the end of the world.
Steam is way beyond being just crapware.
Nice one (http://www.geekzone.co.nz/paradoxsm/3765) about Steam:I have just purchased half-life 2 and proceeded to install assuming it would be a matter of install, install the SECUROM noCD patch and play-away......when I discoverd the b****** known as "steam"
I "Declined" to go near this "steam" and instead I am proceeding to tear the games to bits, so far I have gotten the files out of their horrid "steam powered" "wrappers" and am building up the game structure into a virtual directory and hoping it will work........
I wish i'd downloaded it illegally now, I think I might just do that next time......... A mate has a pirated copy so I might just burn his if I cannot rip it apart myself.. There goes all good intentions to legally purchase games..

Just uninstall the "Privacy Control" module and you should be up and running. Worked for me.

I finally got Grid to function with KIS in XP (sp3)
In addition to enabling compatibility mode and uninstalling Privacy Control
1) I removed all prior references to Grid within KIS. Right-click KIS icon, Settings.
Look in Firewall settings for applications, check Threats and Exclusions -- Trusted Zone
2) Run Grid in normal mode without using any switches (ie -novirtual) and "allow" all Grid prompts that appear.
To test further, I added the Privacy Control back to KIS -- all other settings unchanged. Result: Grid stopped working
Uninstalled Privacy Control again -- no changes to the settings. Result: Grid works
Thanks everybody for the prior suggestions.

I have Kaspersky Antivir, not Internet Security, does that affect the game the same way?

I have problem with running GRID on Win XP64 with KIS 7.0 ver 325. I don't know if KIS was the cause, because I stopped KIS, but still it didn't work.
When I run GRID on Vista 32bit with KIS, it starts up just fine.
I might just reinstall Win XP64 to see if disabling privacy control or enabling compatibility mode would make GRID run on my PC.
