View Full Version : Same Issues as DiRT

I used to be able to play DiRT on my old X1950 with no issues.

Then I got an 8800GT and DiRT would either crap out and hard lock during a race, or hard lock during loading between races. So it's since been uninstalled.

Now, with Grid it's taken 3 restarts to play one race... which then froze during loading of the BMW one in menu.

This problem gets old. fast.

It's not a heat issue, and Nvidia drivers have been 169.21 since December.

So any help on righting this would be great.

Without providing any additional information, it is going to be hard to help you. The general Tech Support FAQ (http://community.codemasters.com/forum/showthread.php?t=279123) will give you some advice on updating drivers and also, how to post a dxdiag.

By the sounds of it, (without knowing your Operating system) you have the graphical settings up too high and/or the resolution too high as well.

Very well...

My system is running Windows XP SP2

Mobo: Asus A5N-E SLI
CPU: E6550 DuoCore
Mem: 2gb OCZ 6400
Video: Nvidia 8800GT 512mb
Audio: SoundBlaster Audigy 2

Again, this used to work with the X1950, only when the 8800GT was put in that this engine had issues.

I severely doubt too high a resolution is culprit as my Viewsonic maxes out at 1280x1024, and thats what it's running at.

Still, any help is appreciated.
