Auroch Set Drops....

Well, I've seen a few people in Etten with full Auroch. I know it is a rare drop but where does it drop and what from?

The people wearing it must have got it from somewhere :P

Well just this week i have seen the leggings and chest drop in the delving fror (Ettendeep) Also had the silver voice helmet drop, our mincer was very happy :)
The silver voice helm dropped from the blue ghost (dont remember the name ) second boss from the entrance, Not sure but i think the Auroch pieces both dropped from the Vampire chick ( cant remeber her name either lol ) in the large room with all the bats.

There is a low chance from
a)mobs (such as ones in ED)
b)ettenmoor's 15/25 token chest.
these way's you may get another class drop which you can trade :p
the most garuanteed way of a drop is helegrod, but it can be hard to get a group. Good luck hunting for it :)

Yes, the class sets such as Aurochs and Silver Voice are world drops from high-level areas like Angmar, Misties and the Moors. I've seen something like 5 or 6 set pieces drop as random loot during normal Angmar questing. Reputedly they also come up in random chest loot at GV. The biggest chance for a drop is from Helegrod bosses, so if you really want some pieces you should raid the place.

Had my first ever piece of armour drop the day book 12 went up....typically it was Captains armour but it droopped from a lvl 47 goblin in GT

Ive only ever seen nice drops like that from Helegrod... and a few drops from the rift :)

Helegrod is the best place to go, 1 or 2 chance drops per boss :)

Had the Gloves of the Aurochs drop in Imlad before the whole place changed, came off of one of those dread mists which I presume would now be either the 4k or 9k versions round there, the 4k ones are a pushover, the 9k ones are a bit harder to solo ;). Not been up there much since the change but nothings dropped so far when I have been.

The Ettenmoors pvp set looks exactly like the Aurochs set, only the set bonuses are abit different :)

i have seen a piece drop in barad gúlaran. so the best way to get the set is to go and do things, i suppose :)

It used to be that the Aurochs set dropped from the Helegrod bosses - but a patch a while ago stopped it coming solely from there (as not everyone wants to be a raider). So you can still get a drop off of those bosses - but its random as other classes may get a drop. Admittedly the last three times we dropped thorog we got the aurochs chest - but that might be more luck than judgement. You can now get the drops from Angmar and the top-end stuff in the Misty Mountains but the chances of the drop is very low, and I'd assume anywhere else there are high level mobs (48+ at a guess) - so Sarnur, the new Barrow, Ettendeep may also drop.

Oh, and if anyone has Aurochs shoulders for sale on evernight give me a shout :)

Ive seen parts drop (not just the hunter set) in ettenmore, imlad balchor and CD sofar. But they should drop from any high level mob (drop rate is really really low though).

I had the Shoulders of the Aurochs drop from a not particularly distinguished Elite mob in the Misty Mountains - pure dumb luck, never since repeated...

From what I'm aware there is a minute chance for any teal piece of armour to drop from any level 47+ Monster, doesn't matter if they are normal/elite/sig (by minute, I mean like 0.001% chance, maybe less). Apparantly there is also a chance from Ettenmoors chests but I don't know or can even guess what the chance is to get one from them.

To be honest your best off saving up cash and buying the pieces when you see them on the Auction House.

Had the shoulders drop from Zurm's chest last night. First non-gem teal I've seen since starting the rift (Threkband was also in the same chest :p)

I finally completed my Auroch set after alot of Grinding for money and saving.

But now I have nothing to grind for so im very bored. But still on Gilrain server its quite an acheivement. I only know of 1 maybe 2 ppl that have full Auroch.

Had the boots drop last night in CD, from one of the big Gorthorog mobs near the gates to the castle, as I was the only hunter in the group everyone else passed.

Not sure about this. There haven't been any Aurochs armour pieces on the Laurelin AH for days or even weeks, and they were always very rare, while the prices were correspondingly insane - as I remember, 50G and up!I'm on Laurelin, there was some boots on there about 10 days ago and shoulders not long before that... maybe they just went quick before you noticed them :) Still, it is more feasible to wait for people to post them and pay for the items - mostly because it's not a set drop on the items, and you could be killing monsters for 10 hours a day for weeks and not get even any teal pieces from any class.

The stuff goes for about 17 for gloves to 20 for boots to 25 for armour and leggings on Snowborn last time items were up. I don't actually see the point in this armour set for alot of the situation it remaisn easier to rank to lvl 2 or 3 on the moors and get gloves, armour and shoulder pads for less than 20% the cost.

It doesn't look overly dissimilar to the moors set eitehr, certainly the chestpice, but the moors set is in purple.

Ye i would say the stats are very poor. I would like some +1% Evade chance on set 6. Maybe even more then +1% because it is the full set.

But i do enjoy the 1 second reduction of Penetrating shot. It means when i let swift-bow off Penetrating is ready. Then by the time i hit barbed Penetrating is up again.

I spent 170g on my set though.

It doesn't look overly dissimilar to the moors set eitehr, certainly the chestpice, but the moors set is in purple.They only point many Hunters got for the pieces, is for the 2nd set bonus. Two pieces of the Rift, PvMP and Auroch set gives you an extra 45 agility from all 3 set's second set bonus.

There is no point in buffing these sets or spending loads of time aqquiring them since u will just get new epic and raid armour sets with the moria expansion for endgame at level 60, a waste of time to deal with level 50 sets when u will only flip to new ones after the expansion :p

Well, yes... But isn't that always the case? It's like computers - sure as death and taxes, there will always be a better, cheaper and faster one coming out a month after you buy your shiny new one.
