Armour [Level 42]

Just wondering what's the best armour for a hunter to use at around Level 42. I can see I can wear a Superb Rangers set which gives a total of 54 to Agility and a decent amount of Power/Morale too.

But can anyone recommend anything better at this level, that isn't going to be a complete nightmare to get.

Try doing the quests in Tal Bruinen..there is a good 3 piece set there that will do you for quite a few levels. There is also a damned good bow to be had from the q's there as well ( Tongannels Joy ).

To be honest I wouldn't worry to much about getting uber gear around lvl 42, save you cash and effort for lvl 47-50 ( unless you can make your own gear of course :) )

There's quite a nice little set combo you can get from Tal Bruinen quests if I remember correctly. I think it's a couple of armour pieces and a jewellery piece. Can't remember exactly as I did the quests at lvl 50 just for fun but remember thinking to myself they'd be pretty good for around the lvl 40 region.

You can get a pretty good bow from there as well, in fact a very good bow for that lvl range. It has high top end damage that actually out performs a lot of the teal high lvl bows.

Woodlands set from Tal Bruinen will last you from 39 to 47 if you can get it. There's a chestpiece, shoulders and bracelet which gives stats equal to superb hunters set with slightly more agi/fate IIRC. The bow is pretty good too, or if you want a teal bow at level 42 check out the Fornost drop ;)

There's also gloves from another set which gives very good stats too, however the set can't be completed if you want the Woodlands set.

What quest line gives the bow? :) Quite interested in that for my hunt... I did the quests to get the woodland set, it's great!

Quests starts with Tongannel at Echad Candeleth, 1st part is called Dangerous Enterprise. 4 parts in all, you get the bow as a reward on completion of last part.

I find Peace-Keeper handy at the moment...

Not as much DPS but I like the fact it drains morale on top of that.

it drops from last boss in fornost, and only lvl42 blue item ;)

I'm not that fond of that Peacekeeper bow. It's common damage. When you venture further into Angmar, you will notice that uncommon damage types are more efficient.
