View Full Version : Just sum xtra stuff...
in the physics models codies should make it possible to do "Scandinavian flicks"(when u turn away from the corner b4 u turn in) cos its usualy 2 hard 2 do. Also either aswell as or instead of the incar veiw there should be a camera veiw in the middle slightly behind the seats, i find the incar veiw 2 hard.
I would like 2 more camera views.. one where you're fixed in the middle of the car and you can look up and down, left and right. Another view I'd like is a Bee Cam, where you can fly around inside the car (Sorta like in Jimmy White's Snooker :D ). It would also be cool if we could fly the bee into the engine and kill it.. ;)

How about since the engine is already going to be 3D modeled, how about being able to actually see the engine run like the fan and belts turning, and the drive shaft turning.
You can do Finnish flicks in CMR2. Just takes the right setup, and the right technique.
What Rally/Car/Setup are you trying it on?
Are you using a wheel?
If so, is your wheel force feedback?
Trying to flick on tarmac will be harder, since there's much more traction available.
If you're using one of the AWD cars, try dialing in more oversteer, through either the differential bias, a tighter suspension setup, less sticky tires, etc.
If you're trying to do this with a keyboard - duh. Get a wheel.
If you've got a wheel, try making the steering more sensitive in the setup. Also make sure the wheel isn't setup with a "dead spot" (as most are). Be aware that you need to adjust the wheel's software setup, and the wheel setup in CMR2.
If you've got a force feedback wheel, try trimming back the road forces a bit, since they'll impede your ability to steer quickly a bit.

The pendulum turn or the "flick" doesn't do any big help in the game like in real world.
If you drive to a corner without doing a flick and one time doing a flick there is no difference.
I hope too for a great physic engine.
I love tarmac!

What is your perception of what a finnish flick is supposed to do in "real life"? And how does it not work in CMR2?
Describe the technique.
Finnish flick? Give me a break ;) . Itīs called a Scandinavian flick, nothing else...
Anyway, today in the WRC the drivers donīt use "the flick" very much. The cars are so good, they just turn into the corner. And on tarmac you never do a Scandinavian flick.
I've always heard "Finnish Flick", but considering doing a search on Google for "Finnish Flick" yielded 0 results, and "Scandinavian Flick" yielded 206, I'll try to break myself of saying "Scandinavian" over "Finnish". ;)
(I guess I shouldn't have expected anything less from a Swede, eh? :D )

Hello ppl, a finish flick is a good technique which shifts the balance of the car despite them being very stable (no body roll) it is still possible to put the car temporaraly off balance then when you flick it back the car swings around, on hairpins it is always used, maybe in a more subtle way then in finland, but still used.
I usually do it by bracking and turning the wrong way before the corner, then flooring it the other way but it does take alot of time to perfect, and tapping the brakes is the only real way u can get it right, thats why u see people like richard burns and that, their lights fliker alot on and off as the tapping the brakes to offset the cars stability and get better grip (not always spinning)
It is also used to get a better line, in cmr 2 i use it so i can use all the road + the grass as their is quite alot more room before the trees off on the grass, also austrailia it can be done lots as you can use alot more than just the road which gives you a lower arc angle into a corner and easier to get around.
Well gees that was along explanation, hope it explains somestuff u didnt already know, cya :p
