It doesn't exist on any platform yet, relax. Not expected to be released until Fall (which probably means Winter) of this year. As far as I know, they're planning on releasing it on PS2, X-Box and PC.

I'm afraid CMR3 is NOT coming to PC. Yes, I have seen CMR3's screenshots for PC at Gamespot.com. But I don't see any announcement for PC at codemasters.com...and it means something...maybe Codemasters have cancelled PC release?

Can you cite the place where it says PC release is coming? I re-read press releases (three press releases accessible from CMR3 page) but I did not find a single line that says PC release of CMR3 is coming.

My speculation is that Codemasters had planned PC release at the beginning, but they might have cancelled it for some reason. I mean if you search for Codemasters page, you see that CMR3 is coming out for PS2 and XBOX, but it doesn't say that CMR3 is coming for PC.

Don't get me wrong though, I liked CMR2 and I want CMR3 to come out for PC...it's their loss if they don't release PC version though.

They would lose a lot of potential customers if they cancelled the PC release. I for one would be gutted as I don't have any console except for the N64.

I would imagine they haven't explicitly said it's coming out on PC, because it would be ridiculous for them not to release it for PC.

Each version has been on PC, it will be developed on PC's for the XBox version, and they've sold millions and millions of copies on PC. One of the benefits of developing for XBox is that if you develop an XBox game, it can be a PC game very easily (versus developing for PS2, for instance).

I am just wondering, that on Codemasters' official website, why you cannot find CMR3 in future releases for PC, but you can for PS2 and XBox. Is it a mistake? I highly doubt it, because CMR3 is listed as a future release for PS2 and XBox.

It surely will be their loss not to release PC version though...

They may be releasing a PC version after the XBox and PS2 versions for a change.

I did read in PCFormat that the release date for PC may be November 2002. If we have to wait that long for a wicked game, I'm in. Plus it gives me time to make my website for it.. ;)

We do plan to release the game on PC, but some time later than the console versions - which is why it does not yet appear advertised on our website.

Details of the PC version will not be posted until it is officially announced.

Interesting move. Guess I'll definitely have to buy an XBox then. Hope someone comes up with a USB FF wheel hack by then. ;)

you'd be mad to buy an x-box for cm3 cos it's gonna be a dated lump of cack this time next year. you cant just whip out the gfx card and replace it. spend your money on a gforce 4 and just see how much cm3 looks better on yer pc.
