I've heard that Rally Trophy is a great rallying sim. I don't like Colin Mcrae 2, it's too arcade. So which one do you think is better, RT or CMR3?

no one can say yet...
no one has played it...
They're completely different games to begin with. The older cars are totally different to drive - either FWD or RWD, no AWD or 4WD cars.
From playing the demo, the graphics and sound are better than CMR2 (better frame rate, better rendering), but the co-driver is absolutely useless. You're limited in how quickly you can drive simply because the co-driver can't keep up or makes bad calls. In addition to that, the co-driver will bitch at you if you make mistakes. Funny the first time it happens, annoying after that.
The driving model seems much improved, but it's hard to gauge fully since the cars are so different. I've tried to make the comparison by playing the Rally Trophy demo (which uses the Mini Cooper), and then playing CMR2 with the Mini Cooper. Rally Trophy just "feels" better - like they're modeling a greater number of points with the car physics.
It seems like the co-driver problem will hold this title back, but I'm curious to see what they can do in the future.

But then thats against 2.0, what you are saying. 2.0 is arcade. 3.0 cannot be jugded as of yet.
Yes, which is why I've repeatedly indicated CMR2 in my response to a topic entitled "Which one is better, Rally Trophy or Colin Mcrae 3.0 (or 2.0)."
I figured that anyone reading my message would be intelligent enough to know that I'm not commenting on a game that won't be released for almost a year, but thanks for looking out for everyone. :p
