what do you prefere for your hunter
a fast weapon with high dps
or a slow weapon with high damage

From my own personal point of view, a weapon with the best stat boost for your build. It remains to be seen what Book 12 will do to us melee wise, but at the moment I think most hunters go for stats rather than damage from melee weapons. I use a pair of Mirrored Daggers purely for the stats.

I think getting new melee attacks might work the ones we got now only do 85 damage at even my lvl

for you're main hand and off-hand weapon, go for the stats, melee damage isn't worth alot for a hunter, better leave that to the classes that have those skills, even at lvl 50 you should be happy to hit 150 with a melee skill.

go for the stats instead of the damage, stats are going to help more then the damage, the more vit/agil/fate the faster the mob is dead with using ranged skills and the slower you're dead using ranged skills.
