Hello,
Until I reinstalled Windows XP a few months ago, this game used to work perfectly.
Since then, the FMV clips (flyover video of stages) are jerky i.e. they have brief pauses as the CD is accessed giving an unpleasant stop-start effect.
Also the sound effects on the menu screens is poor quality (slighlty scratchy as if of sample rate is low or 8 bit quality).
The 3D gameplay itself is fine.
Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Is it a DirexctX problem (I have DirextX9 installed but DxDiag reports it all working).
Is it a codec problem for the FMV clips? (If so, how do I sort it?)
My spec: Windows XP (Home); Athlon XP 1700+; 512MB DDR; GeForce2Ti; SB Live 5.1!; Logitech Wingman Action Pad.
I've tried full-install and minimum install (both results in same problem).
I've tried it using the CD in my CD-RW and in my DVD (both results in same problem).
Any help will be appreciated,
Ciao.
